  • why waste it on a Mac?????

  • just got this 120GB drive. I bought it for £123. price's dropped so much since you made this vid. I hope my cm chasis has 2.5" support.

  • I would love to install one of these beauty, unfortunately I think it's very complicated to install it on an iMac tho.

  • @TikiShootah Zed is the correct English pronunciation. Zee is American way.

  • @TikiShootah dumb uneducated americans HAHAHAHAHAHA

  • @TikiShootah

Do you have the inability to realize that not everyone lives in America?

  • is this like a big flash drive?

  • Excellent Video quality and video. OCZ have some very nice SSD drives

  • where is your accent from? i love it very much

  • 592 views 50 likes... way to go people....

  • ocz review!!! lucky

  • and also dave one more thing how ocz and other companies send the product you want from them why you just want buy it

  • @omartechgeek2011 If I understand your question right, I buy plenty of hard drives for my storage needs, but this one was sent from OCZ direct for me to test. They appreciate me sharing the info with everyone.

  • thanks for this unboxing video dave because i love ssd's can you show how to install it in a laptop or pc

  • Ugh... There goes "solid state drive drive" again!

And you're (again) not getting the full speed from the drive, as Mac Pros don't support SATAIII 6Gbps.

  • @BeSweeeet I am aware of the speed issue on SATA II vs III, hopefully this will be addressed in the next Mac Pros.

  • @BeSweeeet The Macbook Pro IS Sata 3 6gps compatible.

  • Also, with a Sandforce controller, does that mean there is no need for TRIM?

  • Thanks for the info. I have the 2011 Mac mini, which SSD would you people recommend? Thanks

  • @AJX000 This one or a Solid III.

  • @davomrmac Thanks Dave, i'll look into it.

  • @davomrmac Great thanks!

  • they need to make ssd's a little cheaper cause they are so reliable. i need at least 500gb ssd

  • Great vid.

  • *forward

  • Great unboxing Dave. Looking forwars to your upgrade video. Is the drive 9mm or 12.5 and what SATA revision does it use? Looking for a good SSD to upgrade a White MacBook.

  • @Ramblrr 9mm.

  • I have just changed to SSD and 8GB ram on my MBP 13" 2009. The effekt? Like changing channel on a tv :-)

  • WHOO 0TH VIEWER!!!! I WIN YOU ALL SUCK COCK!!!

  • Dave, can you make a tutorial on the intro? Is it Motion or After Effects? Templates?

  • @seongapple I didn't make it, but it is After Effects.

  • @davomrmac Thanks :) Keep up your great work!

  • Hi Dave, I am very interested in getting an SSD but I heard that there is a limited number of read/writes. Is this true and how long is an SSD expected to last?

  • @AJX000 Not sure, but you get a warranty with the drive.

  • @AJX000 an ssd has a limited number of read/writes but a normal user will never reach that unless you are constantly changing things on the drive like a fully active server. but that shouldn't be a problem anyway.

  • @AJX000 more than a hard drive for sure. I think around 4 years is guaranteed(depends on what you use it for of course). 2 of my hard drives failed after 2-3 years, so I would say SSD`s last around the same, probably longer though.

  • @AJX000 Look for "IOPS" on any drive you're looking at. Go for a higher number, as this is how many read/write operations they do before failure. Most will last you years and years unless you format your system every few weeks and install and uninstall stuff all the time.

  • @TalesOfWar Thanks.

  • 0 views 19 likes way to go youtube....

  • I love SSD's. Worth every penny IMO :)

  • dave can you do a step-by-step guide video how to bootcamp after installing osx lion directly from the app store? sorry its side related. i just thought i should request.

  • I'm gonna wait until the prices come down a bit more.

  • Nice drive

  • will write and read speed be almost same on windows 7 x86 as on mac os x

  • $181.99 on amazon

  • Kingston All The Way

  • nice ssd but it will not fit with the bracket in your mac

but if you get the right adapter you got a new mac ;-)

  • great review dave was looking at getting an ssd drive myself cause my mac is abit slow

  • @ThatAccount100 This will definitely speed it up.

  • I used to have OCZ Ssd but never more since updating the firmware on a Mac is a pain in the butt. They need to fix that things! Nice video Dave!

  • Great ssd have it in my laptop and just unboxed it lol, but great video wish i could be that good

  • 0th viewer:D

  • does it work in a ps3?

  • @alvarez1513 it should do.

  • Great video Dave, as usualy. Can you show how this SSD inserted into the Mac Book Pro

  • @TheLilPhip lol

  • wow. youtube is starting to fail BADLY now. 0 Views??

  • cool bro ;D

  • please do installation video!! great vid btw

  • @MrTechMadness Thanks for watching.

  • Great unboxing Dave, I'm interested in this SSD myself, any reason you chose this rather than the OCZ Vertex 3? I'm still unsure whether it is worth the extra for the Vertex over the Agility. What is so much better aside from the included 2.5" to 3.5" adapter?

  • @DudefishDoohikie The 2.5>3.5 adaptor does not fit the Mac pro. The performance is very very similar. I didn't choose this, OCZ selected it to send me. If I was buying I would have bought whichever was cheaper.

  • Zero

  • oh heck only 4th
