I love the fatal frame series since it starts out as a horror game, and once you get over the scare factor the stories can actually be somewhat touching. I know in Fatal Frame 2 I went through nightmare just so I could save both sisters. Number three kind of made me feel like they spat in the gamers face though, since all of the characters stories were based on the normal mode endings. They could have at least let it change them up based on previous save data from the first two. =(

FF4 was released in japan only for major bugs regarding unlockables to be found. Nintendo asked Temco to fix them, Temco in turn ask Nintendo for more money to fix bugs that shouldn't have existed in the first freaking place!

The Young Man you referred to, Choushiro Kirishima used to be a human but was actually dead and didn't know it

The two girls, Misaki Asou and Madoka Tsukimori come to rougetsu island first but Madoka dies in the begining cause she got lost and Misaki fainted later on when the girl who Choushiro put the mask on hugged her

In this ending, she wakes up and sees the already dead Madoka about to crossover with the other spirits

You should watch the other videos so you know all this stuff

Yes, Choushiro was already dead before the game started. You see how he died 10 years before at the end of Chapter 10.

No, there are no plans as yet to port the game to other consoles.

And it still SORT of did require human sacrifices, because the dancer ended up absorbing all of the Hell Gate's Malice and dying, so...

What you have stated is correct...well almost.

The ceremony did NOT call for human sacrifices...Sakuya's death was caused by the failure of the ritual, and not because of the ritual itself. If the ritual was performed properly, the gate to the underworld would open, putting the island's restless spirits to rest. Nothing was mentioned of the dancer dying.

Besides, it wasn't Malice that occured in this game...it's an outbreak of "Blooming." That's why some ghosts go beserk and turn faceless.

They performed the ritual twice, a tourist version and the real one, both failed as the tourist version was lke a mockery to the real one, making the real ritual affected by the anger of the moon, breaking the mask then the masked dancer collapsed then died (I dont know if that was Sakuya)

the ritual opens the gate to the underworld, and the souls can reach the way to home that's the goal of the kagura ritual, the shrine maiden (sakuya) opens the gate with her dance

I think Kai Amakura died in the third one! But I'm not quite sure about! I never really played the 3rd one, but i would think that he dies because kei gets trapped in that place(which i can't think of right now)!

Yes. Kei dies, although you can save him in the 2nd ending. But the real ending is always the one which somebody dies. FF1 was Mafuyu, FF2 was Mayu and FF3, Kei.

And since Kei dies, I highly doubt Mio survives the curse...
