  • that was awesome. thnx.

  • ensalada de locos

  • @TheAlanExperience18 jajaja si! siempre queria encontrar esta cancion por ensalada de locos :p

  • what is with the voice to the intro of the song?

  • Dios creí que eran Los Animals XDD con razón no la hallaba XDDD jeje... *Qué Buenísima Rolota!*

  • how nice,te traigo finto,te traigo finto lol....

  • Nice Victrola....

  • Watching the movie on Netflix instant right now. I saw it in the theater when I was in the 8th grade. Loved this song. Had the LP.

  • Have not heard this since 1969!

  • But nothing can change the shape of things to come!

  • Yardbirds "Shape of Things" is a totally different song, but this is a pre-punk rock anthem for punk rock. This version was covered by Paul Revere & The Raiders on their "Indian Reservation" album under the title "(Nothing Can Change) The Shape of Things To Come." It also was covered by Toxic Reasons in the early 1980s. And the Ramones played (Nothing Can Change) The Shape Of Things To Come" in 1994 at a memorial concert for F-1 race driver Ayrton Senna (R.I.P.) Great, great, great riff!!!!

  • Movie sucked, song was great.

  • What's an Algebra?

  • @1qaz2wsx3edc5753 its like a math teacher.

  • Funny presentation ,but as a result, it lacks somewhat in the audio stakes.

Not bad,but something got lost here.

I'd rather hear The Yardbirds doing their 'Shapes' routine though.

  • Estas si son rolas!!!

  • Don't get me wrong, I really like this tune a lot and I still listen to it, but it is definitely dated and the premis of the movie was really not people friendly. It pits the young against the ones over 30. At the end of the movie, one of the children said something to the effect that anyone over 13 was history, I think it was, and please correct my statement, because I haven't seen that movie since 1973. The point is that the movie portrayed young people in a very unfavorable light.

  • @1qaz2wsx3edc5753 Valid point, but are you an algebra teacher by any chance ?

  • I liked the introduction to the actual song!

  • meravilioso!

  • This is from a movie called Wild In The Streets, I think it had to do with jailing anyone over 30 yrs. of age or something like that.

  • This was a cool song back in the 60's, but it sounds silly now.

  • @1qaz2wsx3edc5753 why on earth do you think it sounds silly?

  • @1qaz2wsx3edc5753 It still sounds cool, it is you who sound silly.

  • i remember this from my kid hood....holy crap...been 30 plus years! Thanks...

  • Like the movie. Trust no one over 30. In reality trust no one who has been in office for more than 8 years.

  • Ensalada de locos _FTW

  • I saw this at the Ohio Theater, Lorain, Ohio, 1968; I was twelve. It seemed like the whole country was up for grabs, and that perhaps the film most evocative of the time was "NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD".

  • garagerockradio, please review your history. Read: "Acid Dreams."

Apparently, the US government was experimenting with LSD on unsuspecting subject in San Francisco...

  • Please use spell check or take a course in English Grammar.

  • Saw "Wild in the Streets" at the drive in during the summer of 1968. This was the main song from it. Received lots of airplay in Lansing, MI. and went to number 1 at one of the stations. As much as I liked growing up in the 60's, alot of strange things happened.

  • Amazing movie from AIP, the people who brought you the Frankie and Annette Beach movies and later the Pebbles series of Garage Rock compilations!

1968 was a hell of a year. They really were worried about complete anarchy. I've heard the FBI took the possibility of LSD in the water supply seriously and also beefed up security at the political conventions which led to riots. See: "1968 Democratic National Convention protest activity" on wikipedia for an overview.

  • One small problem with the movie. The people protrayed were fighting the establishment. Now they are the establishment and are destroying the very fabric of the country. It has come full circle. No one is fighting the establishment.

  • Now, obama and his punks are attacking the older generation with their health care scheme.

  • Ha ha ha. Joke.... right?

  • @Medic68wger Meet the new boss, same as the old boss...

  • Whose a greaser ands whose a Socs? im a greaser just like in the book he Outsiders! Tee-Hee

  • Saw the movie 3 times the first week it came out in 1968.

  • jeee es la rola ke sale en ensalada de locos

  • Awesome! What a time that was! I grew up in socal in the sixties and hokey as the premise might seem today, it wasn't so farfetched at the time. Us kids really were taking over! It all went to hell after altamont and the manson murders. We moved from the valley and nothing was ever the same for me or the country again. If I could go back to any time in my life, that would be it! BTW my older brother knew Jim Morrison and dated Cher's sister...how's that? Epic times, for sure! Thanks!!!!!

  • The kids did eventually take over and preceded to abort 1/2 of the following generations.

  • did you see the movie back in the sixties when it came out?

  • Wild in the streets was an awesome movie... very thought provoking!

  • @maxxsayer I agree..................

  • @Medic68wger yes

  • I was on top of the world at my friend Sargons house. Listening to this over and over until my ears were numb.

  • ensalada de locos!

  • @2047alvi jajajaja

  • @2047alvi what the hell?

  • This song popped into my head at 5 in the morning today and I had to hear it! Can't remember how many years its been since I heard it last! Thanks for posting!

  • Nice selection Carol, I have the same 45.

It had a brief life on top 40 radio in the NYC metro area in '68 when I heard it.

  • What kind of turntable is that?
