  • Are you ever going to show us your face?!? :-D

  • thats so cool that you got to meet suburbanryder!!

  • i would love to be a v logger i have to wait till i get a bike first i hope to get a ninja 500r in dec

  • You have a wonderful, well-developed and highly sophisticated sense of humor, then! Just like me. :)

  • LOL I used to do the recording thing allot with my old camera. I still do it now and then on purpose. It's funny when people get together for a group picture and I hit the record button. Then I count down. The expressions they make are priceless.

  • Ha! I must confess I've done this to people, too... but I never thought of trying the countdown. That is *brilliant*!

  • lol looks like your having fun in Chi-town. Nice outro pic!

  • Thanks! And I am definitely having fun! (Except job hunting. Not fun.) It would have been cool if you could have been with us. I had a blast riding with you that day. I'll be sure to give you a heads up if/when I'm ever back in KC for a visit.

  • Yup, that corny bit at the end proves ur a dork alright :-P

Is it just me or was SR taking it kinda slow? He probably didn't wanna lose u in his mirrors... quite thoughtful considering he had a noob on his 6 that's practically a neighbor *heheh* ;-)

  • Yes I was.

And for the reason you guessed. I watch first head next hands next feet. You can tell by body language if a rider is having trouble by paying attention to them.

  • I wonder if she realizes how closely she's being monitored by professor SR. She just might get nervous & fumble if she does *heheheh* :-)

  • ... and fubling leads me to... u guessed it... crash protectors installed pronto!

SR u could even teach her a little wrenching too, she seems to have the initiative for that sorta thing - she did do oil changes on her old scooter after all :-)

  • She has been shown around the shop so maybe you will get to see a mechanic in training too.

  • You probably noticed, then, the times on the longer stretches when I would stand up for a minute or so. Man, that Ninja seat and my poor skinny bum... Not a good combo. I discovered on my trip from KC that raising slightly off the seat for a minute or two would make a world of difference, allowing me to go another 20 minutes or so before discomfort.

And never be shy to speak up if you notice a technique or anything. I don't mind being observed and doesn't make me nervous. I ride normally.

  • Do you live by Suburban R? I ask because im planning another trip here soon that will take me thro Illinois prolly in the beginning of Aug. and hopeing to either meet up with him on the way there or on the way back.

Obsessed is a good way to ut it. I know if i showed this vid to friends of mine that know me well they would agree that im obsessed with them. lol

  • I am leaving August 2nd and heading toward Deals Gap. I will be back the evening of August 16. I think still the best chance for us doing a meet up is when I am in Minneapolis on August 14 and 15.

  • Oh, i didnt realize you were going that early. Alright then, you're right, the original 14th-15th meeting plan will have to work then. (:

  • Yeah, SR probably won't be here, but I still should be! I will be camping August ... something. One of those weekends in there somewhere. LOL. I get back to you. But, yes, I also live in the Chi-town area. And a meetup with you would be epic and an honor. Puns would have to be involved profusely.

  • Good video "dork" hehe, im joking :D Just seen SR's view point from a parking lot. 5*

  • Thanks! I should post a short video response to that vid of his... My POV was a lot of muttering and fussing over my camera, and a little musing about what SR might have been saying. Not funny by itself, but really completes the picture with his vid (since I'm standing there so long).

  • Lol I enjoyed this...........Its always nice to ride with another rider, but Im sure riding with someone like SR is much more than nice because of his knoweldge and experience....Cool to see the both of you riding, thats always fun to watch.its like getting"2 for the price of 1" lol

  • Yeah, it was very cool (and very much an honor) to ride with SR.

I also enjoy videos where vloggers are riding together. It really adds a sense of community to the whole thing. You should come with us some time! That would be fun.

  • Loved this video! I'm an instant fan! Very, very funny! And don't worry, you're no more of a dork than any of us.

  • Thanks! And it's always good to know you're not alone. Hehe.

  • I remember when we pulled up to the light and both grabbed for our cameras to take them out.

    Neither one of us succeeded.

  • Haha! Yeah, I could hear you muttering when the light changed, too. The really awkward part (though I cut it from this vlog) was when I got stuck at the green light messing with my camera and finally getting it out. I'm so glad that traffic was patient with us.

I need to come up with a simpler system, methinks.

  • Very nice vlog. I had the honor of meeting SR last summer. I consider him being one of my closest vlogger friends from Live Video and You Tube. He has a heart of Gold with a kind and gentle soul.

  • I agree! I had a marvelous day, one of the best days riding ever. He gave me great tips, and was just a joy to be around in general. Wait till I post more vids from this day! We had a blast.

  • hey guess what im going to get a 250 too!!!! :) but im going for the yamaha WR250X

  • I almost went the dual sport route. Sometimes I still wish I had, when I see a sweet trail or field... But I'm too much of a fan of road trips. The Ninja having a 3.4 gallon fuel tank, as well as a fuel gauge? Those are two awesome points for road trips. And the fairings protect from wind much better than on a dual sport. And with me on it, I'm still getting close to 75mpg.

The only bummer is the seat. And the fact I can't take it on trails...

    Well, enjoy yours!!

  • well if you have seem my videos you know i already have a YZ250F so im kinda used to no wind protection i would really like a gas gauge but i can live with out it and you can get bigger tanks if you really wanted to but the big thing for me is i like stunting wheelies and stoppies and while i really like the ninja its got lots and lots of breakable plastic on it lol if i was going to get a supersport id prolly get an 06 or 07 YZFR6S ive riden one and they rock but any way God bless

  • LJ .. You're a Dork.. but in a Good Way..

    You're very Punny .. hahaha ;-)

  • Haha! Thanks!... I think. :P
