@TheMrskth actually I hate to break it to you but KEIKO (RIP)'s release was a failure. He would follow boats and beg for food. He never joined a pod. and because he couldnt hunt for himself he became sick (pneumonia) and died. He would have lived longer in captivity
@Silvawolf100 Please see the whole picture, the argument is not only for release but to ensure no orca is ever taken from the wild again! Keiko's failed release has largely been blamed on the failure to locate his original pod. I agree some Orcas have been in captivity for so long they can never be released, but they should be allowed to live out their days in sea pens and not be forced to perform for the screaming masses.
