A United Nations panel of human rights experts has accused Israel of war crimes through willful killing, unnecessary brutality and torture in its "clearly unlawful" assault on a ship attempting to break the blockade of Gaza in May in which nine Turkish activists died....
@Fifty1stState You mean that nine terrorists died. Oh, well I'm not that sad about that. You saw the knives? the bats?
Israel has the right to stop terrorist from entering to an enemy state, by engaging a hostile ship in open water. The siege is legal, and the action was legal.
The deaths on the Marmara, as oppose the 8 other ships, is the fault of those terrorists alone. Not the Israeli defense force.
UN panel accuses Israel of war crimes for 'unlawful' assault on Gaza flotillaIsrael dismisses report of 'unnecessary and incredibly violent' attack as 'politicised and extremist'
@Fifty1stState This Human Rights Commission is one big sad joke. This "Fact Finding Mission" was prejudicial agaisnt Israel, and its original target was to "find violations of the int. law by Israel's unlawful action", as they put it.
Look for the NY TIMES article about "The Shame of the United Nations".
