  • Srinivas!

  • It is a sad day as the news of passing away of the legend Ustad Sultan Khan saab comes. May his soul rest in peace.

The rendition of Brindavan Sarang, Revathi and Dharmavathi among the blenging of ragas in Carnatic and Hindustani is really outstanding. Sri U Shrinivas brings out the best yet again and Ustad Zakir ji ka jawab nahin.

It would be great if you can share more video footage from this concert and it would be a treat to all the music fans.

  • Absolutely mind BLASTING!!!! LOL This is raag Basant Mukhari right?

  • Kya baat hai dear Afghan tabla. Big Thanks to You.

By seeing U Shrinivas We can hope for the next front line of Classical music. He is Superb what a confidence and flow of sur. May God bless you .

  • 6 beat songs are normally Carnatic. But its very nice to see Ustad Zakir and mandolin Srinivas play one

  • Words are inadequate. Please upload more of this

  • Please overlook my ignorance. This was fantastic! Could anybody direct my to any sites where I can learn more? Thank you.

  • why is that the sarangi is more sorrowful!!!!!!

  • 1:12 is the best. the dholak guy looks away lol. I have done that. ;)

  • @madsharukh It's not the dholak, it's the Mridangam.

  • @madsharukh It's not the dholak, it's the Mridangam.

  • @madsharukh It's the Mridangam, not the dholak.

  • Wow.

  • Great revathi.

    Thankx for uploading. :)

  • I mean Zakir's encouragement of Ustaad Sultan Khan ji.

The Sarangi was not a very celebrated instrument. Zakir Saab took Ustaadji with him for many concerts.

I know all about U. Srinivas. He is truely the best string instrumental plater our there today with Guitar Prasanna, N. Ravikiran and Ganesh-Kumaresh.

And yes... the Brindavan Saranga was AWESOME!!! the best piece . Dharmavati was also fantastic.

  • Have you heard Gamanashrama? The Samudra Priya piece (S G2 M2 P N2 S - S N2 P M2 G2 S) was just brilliant and so was Gamanashrama(S R1 G3 M2 P D2 N3 S the 53rd melakarta...)

  • No one can match Shrinivas when it comes to speed with accuracy.

  • the trick to indian music is not accuracy, wich is why the notes slide around so much. Its just pure emotion

  • You must hear sahavaadan with U. Srinivas and Ustaadji Sultan Khan....

If Srinivas is the morning coffeee, Ustaadji is the evening sweet wine... One cannot live without the other.

Srinivas seems to wake up ustaadji who had just gone into a shell and played second fiddle.

Thanks to Zakir Hussain's encouragement, he has started performing more and getting a little more acceptance.

In reality, Ustaadji is a genius & all music directors go to him for clarifications.

  • In Sahavaadan, Srini is the best, hands down. The brindavana saranga piece he plays is outta the world. I don't understand your statement about Zakir Hussain's encouragement bcoz Srini was born to play mandolin and if u dint know he started playing when he was 6. He has been accepted ever since! His music is truly divine.

  • vaaahhh ustadjii 'ss !!!!!!! .....

  • Revathi is superd and Charukeshi is soothing...... Excellent piece...

  • Can you post the entire recording plesae !!! wah subhanallah !!!

  • Mandolin srinivas plays revathi and sultan khan sounds like charukeshi. Analysis apart, wonderful music

  • Music at its best!Srinivas is amazing..the revathi piece is out of the world!!

  • Wah, sounds like raga Charukeshi
