I know you guys are really young but for future reference saying things like, "I saw a guy and he was really gay." and "I think I saw a lesbian." are tantamount to me pointing to your black friend and saying, "OMG. I think I saw a black person."
Just like it would be rude of me to point her out for the color of her skin, it's rude for you to do the same because of someone's sexual orientation.
I realize that saying things like that might be hurtful, but what you don't know is that I am a lesbian and my black friend is actually my girlfriend. Me pointing out the lesbian was a exclamation of pride. I like knowing that there are people like me out there. I honestly didn't mean to offend anyone. This was just for fun. Sorry if this bothers anyone else.
