  • @1:41-@2:06...lol!

  • this is like an episode of wheel, the host is a contestant

  • Surprised John Davidson didn't appear that week he did good with HS in 1986 I thought.

  • This aired after Rod Roddy ceased to be shown on camera on TPIR, the reason for which is unclear.

  • @TVonthePorch: from things I read it was because new management/ownership felt that the famous comical give and take between Bob and Rod (and before that Bob and Johnny Olsen) took up air-time that could be used for commercials and, or, pricing games. I wish I knew the real story. A lot of the truly classic game shows have always had iconic hosts and iconic announcers. Very rarely did a game show thrive on just the wit of a host...a good announcer is crucial, in my opinion.

  • @TVonthePorch It IS clear, as Rod was taken off camera due to a dispute his agent had with Bob Barker in getting a raise - Barker was pissed, and since he was the EP, he took his camera time away!

  • Great cast that week! Brett and Charles reunited, and Peter Marshall now a star on the show he formerly hosted! And, of course Rod Roddy as guest announcer! Then, Kathy Griffin as one of the stars, although I'm not sure why she's on "Game Show Week", but, she's another one of my favorites!

  • 4:22 aah don't do that!

  • I couldn't think of anyone better to occupy the center square for this week of HS...for all the obvious reasons.

  • KATHY GRIFFIN!!!!!! Love her!!!

  • Gene had died by then, I think.

  • @danbarker39

    He died in 1999.

  • Great idea having Charles and Brett share a square! If only Gene and Richard were there!

  • Ya know, if Bert Convy was still alive today, I can guarantee he would have been one of the squares.

  • Wow, Rod Roddy had such higher energy on this show than The Price Is Right before he died. RIP Rod.

  • I...do remember seeing glimpses of this when it aired, but the episode I saw had Tom Kennedy, and I remember Rod Roddy passing away shortly after this. Awesome that Peter Marshall got to be the center square!

  • @fivebearrugs You probably saw it from the second time they did game show week. Tom Kennedy was there, along with Bob Eubanks, Monty Hall, Rose Marie, Nipsey Russell, Jaye P. Morgan and Jamie Farr, Betty White, Jo Anne Worley, and Martin Mull. The announcer for that week was Shadoe Stevens.

  • Hollywood Squares: The Return of Peter Marshall

    Coming soon to theaters!

  • God I love Rice a Roni... Best prize EVER!

  • @xXBlackTeddyBearXx But, of course! After all, it IS the San Fransisco treat! :D

  • Paula thought that Crisco oil from your freezer will heal a cold sore... wow...

  • wow, cannot believe this is 7 yrs ago. I remember when this was first televised. Hardly looks dated at all. anyways, by the time this aired in early 2003, this new version was already tired and went off just one year later.

  • Charles Nelson Reilly hosted a short-live game show in the late 1980's called 'Sweethearts'.

  • Wow, Charles and Brett never changed after all those years. I love them.

  • @AsherSax If Charles was a young man today I'd truly date him. Hell, I probably would've dated him at 100 :P

  • 1:47>>Tom Bergeron....BOW DOWN TO DA MASTER!!!

  • An underrated host they had was Jim Lange. I think he hosted the first game show that awarded a million dollar top prize

  • @soulstunner Yep,it was called The $1,000,000 Chance Of A Lifetime.It was a great game concept,too.

  • @soulstunner He (Lange) hosted "$1,000,000 Chance of a Lifetime" for two seasons.

  • Hahah! I use to love watching this! Especially with Martin Mull and Caroline Rhea, they both did not appear together, because one of them had to do Sabrina Teenage Witch. & Caroline left after Whoopi did. =)

  • @iCTsang caroline is so hot back then before the H2 era

  • AWESOME how they got R&B songstress Teena Marie to sing the theme song! Love me some Lady T... :-D

  • @gameshowluvr86 A remake of 'Square Biz', one of Teena Marie's big hits.

  • Kathy looks scary..this must be before she went under the knife....thank god she did.

  • Well.. she went under the knife before that.. I think this is when she had all of those problems with that face lift.. but before her most recent nose job

  • @klmt27 What?! She looks beautiful, you ass!

  • i only wanted to see kathy in this.

  • Airdate: Week of December 9-13, 2002

  • Thanks for uploading this! It's a real treat to see Peter Marshall of the original Hollywood Squares and Wink Martindale of Tic Tac Dough!

  • rip brett & charles... i loved match game

  • It's weird how they died in such a close span of each other.

  • R.I.P Rod Roddy

  • @guy2008rules He died just shortly after this aired.

  • H2 was awesome and this week was such a special treat, with Peter Marshall being the icing. Thankx for the upload!

  • WORLD'S WORST THEME SONG

  • The theme for Whoopi's version was worse. This one would have been better without the singing, but it was still pretty good.

  • I love Charles and Brett!!

  • I saw this week both when this was originally on and on GSN reruns; totally awesome, nothing else needs to be said except for totally awesome.

  • Especially that they got such non-host excellents such as CNR, Jimmy Walker, and Peter Marshall!

  • peter marshall hosted the squares for years!!!

  • He was the ORIGINAL "Master of the Squares"

  • That's right, smashwhammy!

  • Only problem was having Kathy Griffin. I can't stand her!

  • yes exactly katy griffin sucks _ _ _
