I'd recommend rearranging your magic. Personally, I place the least useful stuff in the middle of my selection choices since they take longest to locate and select, placing Raise at the bottom of the list to hasten the time to select it and blahblah, you get the idea.

Say, when in the story line can you do this? After Raithwall? And have you ever considered the Garamsythe Waterway? The Malboro Overkings and Lizards there offer good exp.
