Wait- you can get health insurance. You just have to make less money than the state requires (usually double the poverty level). Adjust your work habits and sacrifice (like the President said some people would have to) and get free health care. My wife was denied coverage for the same reason. Don't give up! Example scenario: You get diagnosed with stage 2 cancer, treatment costs $55K, since it is over your $25K allotment your doctor, you and your family have to write a letter requesting the approval of treatment. That letter goes to the panel setup by the HHS, if they approve it, it goes to the Secretary of HHS who has the option to deny.

Sometimes I wonder if those high risk pools aren't big money makers for the states. The deductibles are so high that they never pay out and collect high premiums every month especially for people over 50.

Wow a whole 10,000 deductible. With 860 annual premiums. That is just about what I already pay for a policy. You already have government health care by virture of subscription to the the state plan. Wait- you can get health insurance. You just have to make less money than the state requires (usually double the poverty level). Adjust your work habits and sacrifice (like the President said some people would have to) and get free health care. My wife was denied coverage for the same reason. Don't give up! Don't force everyone into a government monopoly system. Keep trying. Look into more companies/government programs.

Once they resort to insults, name calling, and foul language (which usually happens very quickly), as far as I am concerned, send their saddle to the barn, they're done. I do think it is useful and important to bring them out into the open and expose them as often as possible. Read HR3200. There you can be denied expensive treatment just like from an insurance company. The process for major expenses is like this according to the bill. Example scenario: You get diagnosed with stage 2 cancer, treatment costs $55K, since it is over your $25K allotment your doctor, you and your family have to write a letter requesting the approval of treatment. That letter goes to the panel setup by the HHS, if they approve it, it goes to the Secretary of HHS who has the option to deny.

Why would insurance want to do this? Because they have heavily invested in the derivatives market that is about to collapse. Through the "exchange" setup in HR676 they get paid off to move their customers to the gov't plan.
Read the bills. Amend the HMO Act of 1973, reduce state mandates on base coverage.

But it means to get help and not insurance, whenever needed. No coverage denied, because you haven't read the 100pages of your insurance contract. With a "state-health-care-system" the people of the USA get real medical help.

The money would be redirected from Medicaid, the addition of money from those earning more than a qtr of a mill, employers paying into, and the poor given a rate they can afford to pay. This is not about it being free, but about it being affordable.
There are people working and paying for healthcare they can not afford to use. Does this stop the company they work for or the HC provider to stop taking the payments? No. They are all getting paid and the employee broke.

Most of the things they've said are LIES, but that is irrelevant - those who don't want to use the public health system are entirely within their rights to go private.
The fuss is about the INDUSTRY of HEALTH - the two should be mutually exclusive.

As humans, we ALL have a "pre-existing condition". It's called mortality. I guess nobody should ever be covered because we're all continually at risk of dying (one day, that risk will become concrete reality).

Sometimes I wonder if those high risk pools aren't big money makers for the states. The deductibles are so high that they never pay out and collect high premiums every month especially for people over 50.
