I used to have a toy that was like a movie reel where you hand turned the crank to watch movie. This cartoon was the only cartridge I had. I used to watch this all the time despite that it didn't have any sound ! I loved it, so it brings back a lot of memories to be able to watch the actual cartoon here. Thanks!

Cartoons used to be more awesome, and heck even Spielberg got scared and took out the Guns in the re-release of ET and replaced the guns with walkie talkies if you don't remember. I remember seeing the shot gun scene from an older release and then seeing the cut version and I was like... WHY?!

They took the shotgun out of ET? But that gun was integral to the suspence of the scene! If you take out the gun, there is really no reason for the kids to start flying! I mean, "Lookout, they got Walkie Talkies!" ?? It's like taking the spider out of "Little Miss Muffet" or the wolf out of "Three Little Pigs". (Actually, I think someone actually tried that). Sanitization in the name of paranoia (UNFIRED guns, carried by POLICE. Good grief).

when you think about it its hard to imagine how animation quality has gotten so bad when the tech is more advanced than ever. I guess its because its all done by machines which causes the animation to have no soul. Plus everything is so censored and restricted now that you can't even depict a harmless thing like minstrels in animation without someone waving a flag. Its so sad that its come to this, if this keeps on going animation will become a lost art and nothing will be able to replace it.

That's because the last generation who are parents today are so sheltering... Actually in the original copy of this cartoon Mickey shoots his gun but the ghost plugs the barrels and it explodes... I remember seeing this on VHS when I was younger, and already I noticed they edited out parts of the episode in this :(. When Mickey sees the first ghost I distinctly remember he tries to shoot him but the ghost plugs up his gun with his fingers and it blows up. That's why there is a weird transition from him holding the gun to no longer having one. Just leave the cartoons alone censors!

My cousins had a toy video player that looked like a "camera" with a hand crank when I was a kid, and this was the video I remember watching in it. You would pop the video cartridge into the "camera" and turn the crank to make the film go. You could turn the crank the other way and watch the movie backwards!

Nearly two decades ago, Disney had on a Halloween special that featured clips of several Disney movies blended with a "Halloween themed" song to make a unique music video. Only one featured clips from just one single Disney cartoon. This was that cartoon. And the song...was Ghostbusters.
