It's just weird to watch because it's in our times but they talk just like they did in the play written by shakespeare.and instead of swords they wal around with guns. the funniest scene is the first scene "I BITE MY THUMB BUT I DO NOT BITE MY THUMB AT YOU SIR". I remember reading that thinking. why would they bite thumbs??

I agree that a directors interpretation is the true interpretation however Michael Caines presence doesn't prove anything. He could have been a projection just as Peter Browning was a projection acting as Fischer expected him to act in Fischers mind in the second level. Not saying I disagree with the interpretation just saying that Michael Caines presence doesn't prove anything, Chris Nolans interpretation proves it.

Nolan has said the ending is real coz - 1.cobb sees his children's faces.

2.the children are aged and worn diffrent clothes.catch it on blu ray.roll over to the credits on the cast portion.diffrent children are used for portraying the kids in dream and in the ending.

3.and who said you that the totem sppined forever?.the scene is cut without the result.so saying that the totem spins forever is foolishness!

4.cobb always wears a wedding ring in a dream but in the end he is not!

I always thought the the ending of inception was open to interpretation. I think what Chris was trying to say with the end scene was that it didn't matter whether he was dreaming or not, because he got to be with his kids again. That's my 2 cents worth anyhoo.

@MrNiksix I read that Chris stated that Michael Cain's presence in the film's conclusion was meant to indicate that it was real; being that Cain never entered anyone's dreams, he was simply an architect.

Being an aspiring director, I hold the belief that a director's interpretation of his own film is the *true* interpretation - regardless of what the audience wishes to think.
