  • this is too cool, I was thinnkingon gettin one of those usb ergo touchpads, but they are extremely expensive.

  • Can I build one with a usb?

  • @master801 you can use a USB PS2 adapter. I dont know if newer laptops use USB versions. This hack was done in 2006 or 7 so I don't know what has changed since then

  • Can I use a usb?

  • hey wher did u get the desins for that

  • @jasonshawn1995 I made them by probing with a multimeter

  • i am using my homemade touchpad right now! it works fine!

  • nice. ben10 ftw by the way

  • kakureru, you mind adding me on skype, msn or something else? I really want to do this for the fun of it.

  • I hope this will work with my TM61PUM1G214 (Toshiba A135). If so, I will love you.

However, this touchpad does not have keys to click with (they are soldered to the mobo..) Will tap-clicking work?

    Thanks!

  • @dwegiel Toshiba is in the nasty habit of using alps touch pads which suck to the ends of the known universe and beyond.. Just go and download the driver, extract it and see if it has the synaptics logo icon. if you already have it apart and its not one of those directly attached silicon dies just look for the synaptics logo..

  • nice mod . can u please share this image. I would like to use my dead ibooks touchpad with my pc, thnks.

  • @snake1250 select 720p, even though the video is scaled up, the images at the end are full resolution and are very clear. Thank you for your interest...

let me know if you figure out the ibook as i have never used anything from them.. (since everything i had with a apple logo on it makes it worth way more than the combined parts inside :P

  • nice job ;D

  • @xPCGeek thanks! :P

  • I still use both of those pads in the video to this day...
