  • Mr. Murphy needed some satisfaction and was jamming while getting it!

  • So shit.

  • Eddie's One Hit Wonder...The beat saves this song for sure!!

  • He wouldnt sleep with any of those women unless there transvesites.

  • Cocaine is a hell of a drug.

  • Your mouth Not your Teeth LOL!

  • At 1:48 minutes is his now ex-wife, Nicole. This song is at dumb as it gets, and Eddie is gayer than ever in it.

  • Man, I don't care what nobody say or how they make fun of this song, Eddie sang his butt off!...And it's good.

  • I luv diz shit

  • lmao i dont care what anyone says, eddie is still the funniest dude from the 80's-90's

  • Damn prairiev view played this and i seen the footage

  • I didn't remember this until he said, "I'm a rest while you listen to the band!"

  • I kinda remember this song from back in the day. I mean, I never heard this song before right now, but comedians used to have fun with this song back then, and would joke on it all the time! But, this song ain't that bad. Actually, it's rather groovy:)

  • lmao

  • This is great!

  • Why do I get the feeling is about Johnny Gil

  • @ArmondoeCruze88 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

  • "We played this in the PV band back in '89! This is when they made music-without question!"

  • i love Eddie. He's one of my favorites but... i cant fuckin take it !... you still my nigga though...

  • @LouisJr ROFL!!!!!! Lolololol!

  • talkin bout back in the day...it feels silly when u look @ him b/c he's Eddie Murphy...hard to c him as a singer, but dude can sing...DREAM GIRLS, hello!

  • What was the name of the pretty model who mimed on trombone? Anybody know? Eddie hit #27 in Billboard, 9-2-89. God bless ya, for psotin' it. Thanx! Have a great weekend!

  • man, I really love this song.. that's a groovy hook..the memories...80s rocked..

  • THIS IS THE CUT!!!

  • This is a cool song. I have more appreciation for it as an adult. I think if Eddie primairly focused on his music career he probably would've done well in the music biz. he should come out with another album now just for the hell of it.

  • :23 JOHNNY GILL. EDDIE'S MAN IN DRAG EX WIFE STATED THAT SHE GOT TIRED OF EDDIE GOING OUT TO THE GUEST HOUSE TO HAVE SEX WITH JOHNNY GILL. THATS WHY SHE FILED FOR DIVORCE. LOOK IT UP.

  • I have this album. I also saw the debut of this song on the Arensio Hall show. Love you Eddie. I really love you album. In fact I think I going home and pull it out and play it. Yes, I still have a stereo record player.

  • He's a good singer (and extremely sexy!) although he's more an imitator than a singer.

  • Is that Johnny Gill playing the guitar @ 0:48?

  • @CAU98 Yup. It sure looks like him.

  • @CAU98 YES IT WAS!

  • Rick Astley Turned Black! Call Michael Jackson Doctor!

  • LOVE IT....FUNNY AS HELL

  • Is that Johnny Gill playing the guitar???

  • Wow! He do sound a little bit like Prince! So talented! Sing and act! Keep on doing you Eddie!

  • Um...this is the most blatant example of a video showing instruments that are not actually being playing in the song.

  • oh shit so jimmy early had a hit before he died lmao he sound like jimmy early from dreamgirls when he said ima relax and listen to the band

  • @palatiality LOL it's crazy how jam packed that Hollywood closet is!

  • But I guess more than anything, to me the pre-1989 Eddie Murphy is flamboyant, flashy MASCULINE, post-1989 he was so effeminate, just like Michael Jackson became. Watch the trailers for Beverly Hills Cop 1 & 2, and then really look at the trailer for Beverly Hills Cop 3. Does he not seem like a lighter skinned impostor? I believe in Beverly Hills Cop 3 at one point the lieutenant says "I'm dazzled by your new look!"

  • I've felt for a long time from about 1989 on that this guy isn't even the real Eddie Murphy. Did he die like Michael Jackson or what?? What's up with celebrities who go through a drastic change....I feel like the real Eddie had darker skin, smaller forehead and was starting to get a receding hairline by '85. I think "Another 48 Hours" is the last movie of the real, much funnier, Eddie Murphy? I've always questioned the Chappelle freakout. Does this guy look that "dark"?...just an open mind....

  • @onn1320 tht is johnny sexy self gill

  • wowwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wow... That IS JG... lol...

I don't think Eddie took his singing as seriously as he could have. The whole Prince MJ thing he uses in this song would have worked a whole lot better had he used a REAL band instead of opting for the 80'a synth.

I do hope he'll give it another try... Even if only in conjunction with his acting.

  • Eddie needs to come out? Oprah needs to step out too, with her ugly pekinese azz. Don't get me wrong, eddie is as HIV natured as you can get, but Oprah, keeping that female Steadman on a leash in the doghouse? Whatever. Eddie tried to play hard in Metro, & he had one angry scene threatening the the killer, & he couldn't keep that gay smirk from creeping up on his face. A very effeminate dark skinned negro indeed. Yuo normally expect softness from the yellow cats normally.

  • @Blkserpent1 shut the fuck up talking about how eddie murphy is gay, were you with him he did it to prove it?No. So stfu, by calling someone gay you have no idea how much youve ruined their reputation. Dont insult Oprah either because she takes shits more expensive than you. It crazy how you ppl have 1 by 1 called oprah, eddie and now chris tucker gay.

  • @TheSupersolomonz Shut up BITCH!

  • I really admire Eddie Murphy, because he will try anything; you can do anything and be anything if you put your mind to it. The mind is able to transform you into anything you desire to be I really admire Eddie Murphy, because he will try anything; you can do anything and be anything if you put your mind to it. The mind is able to transform you into anything you desire to be.

  • :23 looks like Johnny Gill

  • @onn1320 my friend, it is. in fact, many do not know this, but johnny is very proficient on the bass, drums, and piano as well as the guitar with which he is pictured with in this video...

  • I feel bad for Eddie musically speaking. When he was being hyped for his Dreamgirls performance, Oprah was like, "did you know you could do this?" and he was l like, yeah, I put out 3 albums ...

The coolest thing is that when his last project came out -- "Love's Alright" (1994) -- Billboard spotlight the project as noteworthy and it was critically acclaimed by a few. Time for more music.

  • Yeah, that was Johnny Gill....I showed up after the recording. We all chilled drank a little and played cards....believe it or not most of the hott chicks in the video didn't stick around afterwards, some did however. And I don't know what Ed's problem was that day, but he was pretty quiet for the rest of the day.

  • you better hit that high note Eddie

  • This got some Prince and Ready for the World influence. The group that did the hit song "Oh Sheila" from 1985. At the particular part of the video duration 0:59. Eddie Murphy is makin' a Little Richard look. It's like as if? He was imitating Little Richard? Lmao. But this definitely got some Prince elements in it. When Eddie hit them high notes on duration 1:52 and 3:32. It sounded like a mixture of Aretha Franklin and Prince. At the same time. He's good man. Not everybody can do that.

  • I sang this song to my wife at our wedding. Her mother was in tears and her dad was red with joyful pride! #beautifulmoment

  • Why is JG playing bass in the video

  • @ArmondoeCruze Ay! I was thinkin the SAME THING!!! BWAAAHAHAHA!!!

  • love the laugh at the end ehhehe!!

  • i remember when this video debuted on Arsenio Hall. it had to be hard for his ego when everybody made such a big deal about his singing in Dreamgirls; forgetting the 3 albums he put out in the 80s and early 90s. The last project was on Motown for goodness sakes and was given a nice review in Billboard, but people continue to make fun of that part of his career. Sad.

  • @TheTrusouldj I remember watching this on the Arsenio Hall Show as well. Very funny & classic interview.

  • eddie stfu

  • Man dis was my jam............I played dis so much my record was all scratched up.

  • @mrsrhondab ok-lmao!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Mega wonders:

"Is that Johnny Gil at :21-23 on guitar?"

    Hmmmmmmm

  • @VoiceByMega I think it is Johnny Gill

  • @StubbyCub hell yeah thats johnny gill the supposed to be boys lol....

  • LMAO @ THE BIG GIRL IN THE STRIPE PANTS! GO 'ON GIRL

  • imma rest while you listen to the band...classic...lol

  • Is that Johnny Gill on the Guitar???? LOL! It is :)

  • This was the jam! :) Put ya mouth not ya teeth!!! LOL! Eddie was a mess back then :)

  • This was the jam! :)

  • Narada Michael Walden (Whitney Houston and Aretha Franklin back in the 80s, etc.) was the guy who produced this New Jack Swing classic jam...which was a BIG R&B hit in 1989! Peaked at #2 on the R&B Charts!

  • in soviet russia, this song was called:

    suck my Kalashnikov.

  • this really has a michael jackson flavor with a dose of prince

  • Comment removed

  • Do you know who produced the song?

  • @memomgirl narada michael walden produced this one

  • @funkkidmusic301 Thanks :)

  • eddie is an ok singer!screw the haters

  • With a twist a prince

  • Sounds like Michael Jackson had something to do with this one.

  • @jrealtall30 I was thinking the same thing

  • eddie murphy aint a bad singerrr

  • @MrLover135 hes not a bad singer, but a bad song writer every song suks unless someone wrote it for him

  • Eddie is the Fn man for this song lol! omg this song is funnier then his stand! pure classic lmao

  • I still got the tape cassette. And oh, by the way, only eddie can put some shit out this song

  • I still got the tape cassette. And oh, by only eddie can put some shit out this song

  • This is a lot better than the music out today.

  • This is a funny nigga you just can't take any of his shit serious cus you'll just have to laugh.

  • Aint No way Dats Him Singin it Don't Sound Like Him

  • I see he's a huge fan of Prince

  • lol

  • lmfao!!!!! the end heha xD

  • The sad thing is that Eddie is actually an amazing singer but it's blinded by the fact that he is a comedic genius.

  • Finally I found this video on here! My friends and I aruge up and down that he did make this song! One thing its funny as hell and them big girsl at the beginning are getting down and them red suspenders! TOO MUCH LMAO!

  • I AM CRYING BLOOD LAUGHING AT THIS!!!

  • look at his face at 29sce

  • Ima rest while you listen to the band... LOL!!!!

  • @bigreed43 LMAO, then he said

"Who taught you how to do that"

  • i loved this song

  • thank god he's now just the guy from the disney films

  • lmaooooooooooo i remember this

  • He did this video and song in the inspiration of Prince.

  • I REALLY DONT KNOW WHAT EDDIE WAS THINKIN' MAKING THIS... SHREK WOULD BE UPSET...LOL

  • it says a lot when a comedian without Auto-tune sounds better than Usher, Rihanna, &, TPain & all those loosers who do use Auto-tune.

  • @nicolesherburne ...... Nice... you got that exactly right

  • DID ANYBODY NOTICE JOHNNY GILL IN THIS VIDEO PLAYING GUITAR...PROOF THAT THE TWO MESS AROUND...LOL

  • I love this pre-Nicole video of the ultimate funny man! They look they are having so-o much fun! :)

  • I hecka remember this video and none of my friends believed me! I told ya'll skanks it was a real song! I love this!

  • can't believe this is on youtube!!! It's funny b/c this was one of my favorite songs as a kid. Didn't realize how sexual it was back then, innocence of a child...lol. Thanks for posting...memories!!!

  • my daddy said when I was a little girl I used to sing this song LMAO ......I need my ass whipped lol

  • did I just see johnnie gill,lol

  • Ya'll funny as shit. Aint nothin wrong with admitting you liked this.

  • chicks blowin horns.... lmao!

  • Eddie Murphy is funny no matter what he does..I use to love this song back in da day

  • lawd..i 4got about this song...wonder why...! (yeah, i bought it too...)

  • ???????????????????????

  • LOL, I just got done watching Delirious's Michael Jackson Impression... its kinda the same :)

I do love me some Murphy brothers tho!!

  • I think Eddie's issue was that he tried too much to impersonate other established artists instead of being himself...This track seems to be heavily Prince influenced...I think he would have been much better off being himself, singing in his voice...I think that is why Party All the Time worked!

  • Sure wish the models on trumpets and trombone REALLY played, right, gang? Anyway, it hit #2 soul, #27 pop in Billboard. God bless!

  • Eddie is gay and he simply needs tp come out. I have nothing against gay peeps...jus this dude needs to come out!

  • ILLUMINTIS VIDEO=JA JA PEOPLE ARE $LAVE$

  • hahahaha this is so funny...but he sounds just like prince.

  • U gotta give him credit. he made the charts with this album which actually doesn't sound bad at all now, compared to the crap u hearing these days.

  • You are all missing the point! There was a LOT of eyeball rolling when this came out--Eddie was still in his 800 lb.-gorilla-fame phase then and did stuff like this because he could--but he totally got the last laugh with his Oscar-worthy performance as soul shouter Jimmy "Thunder" Early in "Dreamgirls."

  • wtf! hahahahaha what?? did he have a whole albu with this and party all the time and stuff

  • @JonneyeTV yep pretty much

  • Eddie "SWAGGER-JACKED" Prince on this song Xtra hard! LOL

  • i remember this song being banned on alot of radio stations because people thought it was about blowjobs.

which it probably was knowing eddie's sense of humor back then,

  • SING IT WITH ME SHREK!!!!!!!

  • @SNAKEEYESSAM ROFL that made my day

  • I can sing this at any karaoke and after the ladies are done laughing their asses off...sometimes it works. sometimes.

  • @THCMinistrysocal I'll have to remember to sing that on Karaoke the next time I go to Speakeasy in Kenner, Louisiana.

  • The best part is growing up when this was hot, and now looking back and getting the best laughs ever. look at all his videos and tell me they don't make you laugh.

  • i think this song is about fellatio

  • @pydiboy no shit sherlock?

  • i love how back then all the artist could make fun of each other since they were all good friends; Murphy was good friends with micheal jackson and rick james

  • I bought this 45 back in da day & it was a song called with all I know on the flip side that I used 2 play a lot & enjoyed listening too! A huh huuuuu! LOL

  • people forget he could sing.

  • Sounds just like Michael Jackson. He prolly sang it and Eddie was another MilliVanilli...!

  • Great Michael Jackson impression...

  • srry this aint workin out for ya eddie

  • This is F***in' hysterical!!! I think Eddie did this on purpose because he's a comedian, & he knew we would be laughin' at this over 20 years later! "No teeth, just Mouth."

  • @daevone85 That women in them balck and white pants dropped it like it was hot

@ 0:58...LMAO go head big girls!

  • Kept Eddie from bein' a 1 hit wonder. HIt #27 in Billboard. God bless! Cowritten by Eddie, too!

  • I like this song. lol. But what really piss me off Eddie open a lot door's, put hundreds of black artists to work that were otherwise in limbo and people forget that and disrepect this man so much. The black community has turned their backs on him. Before him only a few blacks could shine, main stream American films. Without being the damn fool of the film. I know I lived it. For that I have so much respect for him. I can careless about who he sleep with.

  • lol yes that was Johnny Gill!!! OMG THEY GO WAAAAYYYY BACK LOL

  • "Ya Mouth Not Ya Teeth" LOL!!!!

  • Hey, was that Johnny Gill @ 1:49??

  • Yep!

  • When I was younger I thought this was the most x rated video ever....now that I am 30 it seems so innocent. I loved this song lol

  • he looks like mr brown from tyler perry's

    "meet the browns".

  • LOL!

  • too bad he didn't push his singing career a bit further...I bet he would have made it

  • Gay confession....... Not only did I buy this album, I pretty much have the whole thing memorized. I'll shut up now.

  • Well, this was very popular, especially on R&B radio, when it came out.

  • Me too. LMAO!

  • too funny...

  • @CromsDog Funny azz hell!!!!!

  • @CromsDog I just laughed sooooo damn loud at you! At the time, it wasn't so wrong to like it. I liked it too. I took it as comedy.

  • That looks like Johnny Gill @ 24: seconds

  • LOL...cosign..I think it is

  • YA IT IZ!!!!

  • LoL...Does Johnny even know how to play the guitar?

  • I don't know if he can. But lol do you think those girls were really playing the horn?

  • THYCHANIE: Yeah, he plays really well, too! I have the JG Home video collection from 1990, and during the interview segments, etc., it shows him playing while on his tour bus in Germany -- brotha can play!

  • I love this song.

  • This is the best song Eddie Murphy ever had.

  • Hahaha. I remember this video.
