I thought once you become a monk you remain one all your earthly life...... I also understood he was studying theology/philosophy which each course here in the states is 4 years long and that he was gonna be a priest, is this not true? If I'm wrong please tell me. I would like for him to sing again but under better circumstances in that he isn't depressed but happy instead. I know a singing career can be hard, lonely at times and stressful. It takes a strong person. I like the Kelly Family alot

thank you Pudelka. about an year ago i was looking for recent information about him, but i didn't find. i only read a few articles that he is thinking about becoming a monk, but it seem that does articles were old, and he was already a monk. im so sad now:(

No, He doesn't have a wife and a daughter. From the year 2004 He is a monk in the monastery in France(Community of St. Jean). He has also changed His name - at present He is known as Brother John Paul Mary.

Well his pledge ends at the end of this year or next year, so you never know he might decide to leave the monastry but whether he comes back to singing is another thing, because he really didn't like fame, it drove him to nearly kill himself so maybe he's better off not coming back. But i love his music so i wish he did even if it was only one song with his brothers and sisters! But i dunno, at least he's happy doe!

I love his personal changing and that he has found a new way...he was never really happy all the years before...now he had found a way to find himself! He's a wonderful person...so sentimental and his "new" songs are full of his real thoughts and feelings. They really touches my heart and give me strenght. I hope he is happy now and if he don't wanna come back it's ok...cause it is HIS life! I just wish him all the best...
