I'll tell you why Rufus 'seems nervous' - that has got to be the most awkward set up ever. They're so close, no wonder Rufus seems a bit uncomfortable! The poor guy's got to turn his head to look at him and they're less than a metre apart.

Must be wonderful to be able to drop out of school with no risk to your future and then slip it into a nice cushy gig based on name and connections alone. Sorry if I offend anyone (I'm a huge Queen fan) but I loathe how nepotism is overtaking the entertainment industry with all these offspring of the famous. Haven't heard this guy play so I can't make any comments on his chop/skills. Hopefully they're good, unlike so many of his pampered and talentless peers

@ritter89 Rufus is brilliant and he got the job in We Will Rock You fair and square! :) To be 20 and have drummed 2 whole We Will Rock You tours and the Anthems tour with Brian and Kerry needs quite a bit of talent and Rufus certainly has that. He's definitely not talentless and pampered, quite the opposite. It must be hard trying to be recognised as a really good drummer in your own right when Roger Taylor's your Dad!

Maybe he isn't that sensitive or maybe as fast as lightining in thinking or feeling as his father is, but he's got other qualities, definetley a decent and gentle young man. But he isn't dumb dude! He was just nervous there!

Dragon Attack was Brian's song not Johns. I have the album and the Cd tells who wrote every track and Brian is under Dragon attack. but oh well Rufus didn't know and that doesn't matter.

I agree that it must be hard for rufus to get past the "son of" stamp. I love Roger Taylor, and I love rufus taylor as well, but not because they're related, they're just both extremely talented. I'd love to meet Rufus one day though...I know what it feels like to be a second wing.

First off (in my opinion) Rufus is a GREAT drummer.. and if I say so myself I think hes better than Roger (*prepares for hate comments*) Besides even if his dad didn't have a major part to do with this show, or was the drummer to Queen, I bet he would still make it. So stop with the hate comments. He seems like a wonderful person AND he is a wonderful drummer. and thats all I have to say.

I think he should be renamed Dufus: he really comes across as thick in this interview. Considering Roger is very bright and sharp on most things I am surprised this guy seems like the lights are on but nobody's home.

Also, left school at 16-not much hope of a real job then-let's hope his Dad's connections get him in a decent band so he doesn't have to live off the inheritance.

You're entitled to your opinions, but I think your reasons to why Rufus should be called Dufus are pathetic. Just because he doesn't talk as descriptively as Roger does, that does not make him thick.

And so what if he left school at 16? Everyone in the UK does. And how can you say that he doesn't have much hope of a real job? He does have one! And that's being a drummer in a hit musical, at only 17 years of age.

I was just disappointed that such a young man with loaded parents who must have gone to a very nice school couldn't articulate himself more clearly.

Then again when I was 17 I was still pretty shy and if someone had have stuck a microphone and camera in my face that would have been ten times worse. So yeah maybe I was a bit critical.

"everyone" in the UK does NOT leave school at 16. I am not up to date with education (or lack thereof) but hopefully a good proportion of 16 year olds do their A/AS levels and I hope that some of those have aspirations to go to university.

He only has a job because of his Dad-let's be honest. Maybe his is good but it would have been better for someone independent to have got him a job as house drummer somewhere else. It's just a way for Roger to escpae inheritance tax - pay your son a fat load of wages via a company that you own!!

Felix is the one that started Radio Gaga. Felix was born in the 1980s. Rufus was born in 1991 so he would be 18 now. That Radio Gaga is way older the Rufus so it was Felix that started it.

Rufus was born in 1991. Radio Ga Ga's idea is from 1983-1984. So it's not possible it was him. Probably Felix as he was Roger's only child then.

@Qlaarzy1 No doubt, I never said his voice was not special, but the one thing we all have to agree in here is that the difference is quite shocking! Rufus` voice is very strong, very masculine, while Roger`s is husky... which is considered sexy, good for him! I like the way it sounds while singing,tho. It`s got a great effect in songs, specially because of the difference of each Queen member`s voice. In fact that is a one complete band.
