Interesting comment freemontr, I happen to know all of these people, and they are FAR more active for liberty than you are. Certainly they are better PEOPLE morally than you are, if you unquestioningly support someone like Sununu.
Alright, let's not start chopping each other's opuses off just yet. We're all working for freedom our own way, whether its through the political system or through protest. No need to split within the movement just because we have diff approaches.
I'm not going to let an attack on folks like Canario go unanswered. Certainly not from someone who doesn't even recognize who she is, and would assume to call these people democrats. To me that begs the question... "Did you even READ the sign in this video?" If you disagree with THAT, how can you support Ron Paul?
I wouldn't exactly say he was 'attacking', and I'm not saying the protesters are wrong, but too often, this being a good case, like-minded people find ways to seperate themselves over an issue as simple as inviting an individual to speak. I don't think the folks outside were trying to anger the rest of the liberty movement, nor should those at the forum be too concerned, I'm just sayig there's no need to bicker over this sort of thing.
If you think these people were Democrats, then you aren't very well informed. The only thing I will grant you, is that it definitely wasn't much of a protest, but, I wouldn't have liked to see drama break out and sallow the otherwise excellent Liberty Forum. Anyway, I'm sure you were there for McCain anyway... ;)
I didn't call them Democrats. But I did suggest they were stooges of the Democrats. I think they're being used.
There was talk that morning about being willing to find common ground and work with those who agree with you 80%. My own take is it depends when and how. I have no problem with antiwar libertarian types on the state and local levels. I'll work with them, I'll vote for them, I'll campaign for them, on state and local levels. But keep them away from foreign policy!

P.S. I wasn't there for McCain. I wasn't even there the day McCain was there. I was there for freedom. And Sununu. Sununu's a great pro-liberty Senator who's being ganged up on by some unsavory characters.
I'll be voting for Fred Thompson tomorrow. He probably won't win but I don't care. Cheers.
Killing innocent people in Iraq isn't freedom. Hating gays and prohibiting them from marrying isn't pro freedom (ala Fred Thompson) Making Flag burning illegal isn't pro-freedom. Increasing penalties for non-violent drug offenders isn't pro-freedom. Spending 75million to teach religious abstinence only programs in publics schools isn't pro-freedom. These things are Facism... and you are barely even aware of what freedom means.
