  • We won the battle because we were doing the right thing, texans were a bunch of racist rednecks who didn't have any respect for Mexico and wanted slaves.

How can texans feel proud of that? Seriously.

  • @Daniel13l A: your leader was a power hungry dictator. B: If that is your logic, why did we beat you at San Jacinto in 18 minutes? We tried playing nice but you jailed Austin when he tried to talk to y'all.

  • @333Dawncomet333 Because you attacked when the Mexican army was sleeping, so lets say the Mexican army acted dumbly, but we were winning the war until the USA government got in the middle of the battle.

Texas did no shit it was all USA. i would be able to kill you in less that 3 seconds if i attack while you sleep bitch, Texas was part of Mexico so there was no way that their army could win against an Army like the Mexican.

  • @Daniel13l Santa Anna regarded his men as cannon fodder and squandered them in the Alamo attack which is why he was defeated at San Jacinto, end of story. Plus the Tejanos of Bexar had no love for this wanna be "Napolean of the West"

  • @Daniel13l Due to such things as what he did to his own people at the massacre of Zacatecas when he turned his troops loose for two days of murder and rape. The fact that Santa Anna blatantly threw out the constitution of 1824 was the main reason Texas wanted independence from Mexico.

  • @cha5 yea but the issue here is that the texans that wanted independence were all american immigrants, its like if now days the mexican immigrants in california wanted indepence from USA because of change of laws, wouldnt you be like WTF? if you dont like it go back to your country. But its all history and im fine with it, what bothers me is the way mexican immigrants are treated now in the USA, Just a reminder ONCE YOU WERE THE ONES CROSSING THE BORDER ILLEGALLY.

  • @Daniel13l No they were not all American immigrants. The Texans were comprised of settlers, native Tejano's, alnd holders who had had enough of Santa Anna, also as to your statement that it was all USA, these were who took aprt in the battle of San Jacinto, not troops sent down from Washington D.C.

  • @333Dawncomet333 so leave your stupid redneck Texan pride behind..........

  • ive been to alamo because im from texas and if your from texas you know that the men that this song is about gave the ultimate price for what they loved

  • They were stealing land from Mexico and they were doing it in order to bring in the inhumane system of slavery into Texas. At least the Mexicans had outlawed slavery.

  • @hmldjr The Mexicans outlawed slavery to discouraging American Immigration because they suddenly realized that Americans were the only ones who were tough enough to survive the tough Texas Climate. We rebelled because Santa Anna threw the constitution of 1824 out the window and became the self appointed Dictator of a country who's constitution was based heavily on the American one. Ironically, them being so paranoid about American Immigration caused the Texans to Brake off from Mexico.

  • Bunch of romanticized looters and slave traders.

  • @hmldjr we are celebrating their courage and how they laid their lifes down on the line to break from a tyrant.

    p.s. how are they looters?
