im suprised your bleeding heart tetras dont nip at his long fins. I put my male betta in with my bleeding hearts and right away they came and tried to murder him so i took hima out in an instant

I knew bettas could be with other fish, as long as they have short tails.

@UberFiseh he was totally fine with all my fish, including my guppies. he never once tried to attack or kill any of them

@UberFiseh dude, shut up. You could keep two males bettas if you wanted, especially in this big tank. I asked my vet.

as long as the tank is big and there's a lot of hiding spaces, you can keep two bettas.

therefore, fish that AREN'T bettas could be kept happily regardless of the type. (minus the big ones of course)

@2213catlover yeah, i cried when he died. lol. he got what i think was a fungal infection. he only had a bit on one of his fins but by the time i got back from work it had spread all over his head so he couldnt breath.

thats a sad death :( but a lot of bettas suffer from a fungal infection, its common. you should get another betta that looks like him, just so hes not all gone :)

@2213catlover ive got 3 other males. 2 live in a 4 gallon (with a divider) and the other lives in a 20 gallon with mollies, female bettas (yes thats right and they are fine), bolivian rams, black neons ect

@9003186 only some male bettas are like that. ive had that betta that lived with loads of fish, including male guppies. he was a big softie, ive also got another blue male betta that used to live with female bettas and some other fish, with no problems. but ive had 3 males that have killed any fish ive tried to put in with them
