  • Hi :),can i know what's the software you use ?? :))

  • eventually proved that Qh4 was a bad move for black..of which a good chess player can take advantage of ! !

  • Great videos. Can you post more new videos...every day!

  • i check all your video all the time

  • wow!!!! i thought tactics was easy...... but its so very hard... thanks to you it makes me feel that it was a little softer now.....

  • easy move ;)

  • Wow.. GREAT video... u have some great chess advice...

  • thans for posting this. It really shows how you need to think about if the peices are safe there or not and if there is enough retrieting area's :)

  • I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS THEY'RE AWESOME!!!

  • With 3 minor pieces left for white, alarms bells should be ringing if you're thinking about pushing your queen that far forward.

  • f3 was NOT the best move for white. Black could have played Qc2. The best move for white was Bd3, blocking the black Queen's other escape route and at the same time revealing the rook to attack the queen at the same time, thus making there be nothing the queen can do to escape being captured.

  • @VitalSigns1 playing Bd3 allows the queen to capture the rook on e1. If black plays Qc2 white can then play Qxc2. Once white played Bg5 the Black's queen was doomed, and the best black could hope for was a bishop in exchange. playing Bd3 only offers Black a better piece instead.

  • Chocomunky, I was clearly talking about white's SECOND move. His first move is supposed to be Bg5, I agree on that. I was talking about his second move. That's why I said f3 was not the best move.

  • @VitalSigns1 what's the point of that? The white queen is sitting on d2 ready to attack c2 which is not protected by black, so black Qc2 move would just lose the queen. Exposing the rook allows the black queen to exchange for a rook, which is still really good for white, but not as exchanging for the bishop on e2

  • i just realized e3 isnt a check oops !!!

  • why cant black check with the knight on e3 if he takes with queen retake with other knight if he takes with pawn its safe to take the bishop with the queen >>>??? seems like this would give black a strong attack on the king

  • Wow u don't realise what bad moves your making in chess sometimes....in that position black moved his queen to h4 and first thing u think of is he activated his queen and hes got all these pieces into the game now and hes got really solid play....but nah great vid and a great way to nail that queen, good job JRobi

  • Your opponent could have retaliated with a knight take to save himself a little time before his end. After your Bg5 he could have done a queen swap with Qxg5 and forced your queen back to d2, and taken your knight for a pawn swap. The line: Bg5 ... Qxg5, Qxg5 ... f6, Qd2 ... fxe5, dxe5. You would still be well ahead through the position of that pawn and it's rook protector after you move your bishop to f3.

  • great video as always!

  • Very awesome video!

  • Bg5 was my choice too, nice tactic!

  • HAHA HARDCORE DOODS?!

  • Nice game. I must admit I didn't see the move. It's funny how sometimes simple moves are hard to see.

  • Jrobi I just want you to know I love your videos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Honestly they help me go to sleep at night and I have subscribed to your videos too!!!! My wish is to play you one day. If you could make that happen that would be awesome thanks.

  • I second that. You have a very nice voice that fits what you're doing perfectly. Would work in radio very well - pretty sure.

  • it makes sense and looks easy but i would never be able to notice all that in a game XD

  • very easy but awesome tactical shot - i saw it almost immediately with the dubious 1. . . Qh4??

The move NdXe3!! is a great move because white's position collapses. As a general rule - you should aim where your pawns point to. Thus said, White's pawns are aiming at the kingside d4 and c3. But after Ndxe3 - it removes the flexibility of white's strong dark-squared bishop and pretty much removes white's attacking chances completely. good game and great position

  • Great comment Sniper - thanks for posting!

  • Great video. Good work.

  • Thanks for checking it out!

  • enjoy your vids jrobi.

  • Thanks Chiza!

  • Well, this is why you're the master jrobi. Not only did you capitalize on an opponent.s mistake, you sought a way to improve on it. Thank you for the learning opportunity.

  • Far from a master but definitely interested in the study for improvement. I appreciate the comment J!

  • Thanks for checking it out undying!

  • I just beat my dad the other day for the first time in my life and jrobi is to thank i absolutely love these vids

  • Awesome - here's to many more wins! =)

  • Ahh, now I see. Nice move, great video. Looking forward to watch those to come!

  • Thanks for checking it out Mrius86!

  • Nice move!

  • Thanks!

  • rather than F3, I would have played Ba6!

  • Nice video, I like the chess tactics, But i think its better when u go over ur games or maybe even blitz games.

  • I like to do a variety - thanks for the feedback!

  • Thanks Jrobi for the nice position. Did you review the game I sent you through a PM here on youtube? = X

  • Possibly - I get sent a lot - I will double check. Thanks for checking out the vid!

  • Is g3?? after ...Nh4 a fatal blunder or is there some way to counter ...Qd5. Because my cursory look at it didn't find a way out for white. I'm speaking about the hypothetical line of course.

  • G3 would allow Qd5 which causes a substantial material loss for white: 18. g3 Qd5 19. Bf3 Nxf3+ 20. Nxf3 Qxf3 21. Rf1 Qh1+ 22. Kf2 Qxh2+ 23. Ke1 Qxg3+

  • I didn't see that at all... I saw ways to make another piece pay, but i probably would of never seen that trap for the queen. Damn you are good.

  • The problem with me when I play chess is that I am either overly aggressive or I am overly defensive.

  • It's great to practice tactics to help catch the opportunities throughout the game. All tactical shots require a mistake from the opponent in positional play but the key is to catch that positional error when it happens. Thanks for checking out the vid!

  • With all due respect, jrobi, don't you think it would be more helpful to show tactics in strong positions rather than in a mistake from a Blitz match? What help is it to exhibit your opponent's blunder and then expose it? Wouldn't think response be obvious to anyone above 1500 rating? Seems like the time spent making the video could've been better spent.

Just my opinion. I do like your videos, otherwise. Keep up the good work!

  • Yea I saw that move instantly. Not very helpful. I do like your analyses of GM games, though.

  • I nailed that one! WOOT!

  • Nice one AntiCitizenX!

  • I got it right! :D

  • Man, thank you so much jrobi. Last year I used to play chess fanatically, and joined my high school chess team because of you, and in the past few months alot has happened and I practically forgot about chess, and this has re-sparked my burning passion. Thank you.

  • Glad to hear you're going to get back into it Wood - it's always good to take a break so you'll probably come back even better than before!

  • fairly easy for me but gr8 vid nevertheless.

  • Thanks Time!

  • Ahh, yes of course...

  • Using my intuition I MIGHT have played that because it looks like it has potencial. But yeah, after calculating it looks pretty silly.

I'll take the chance to ask some questions. What is your current rating? What chess site do you mostly use to play chess? Do you watch any chess channels on youtube, if you do, what are your favourite ones?

    Thanks. Keep it up :)

  • Thanks for checking it out nonpc - for rating I go with my latest posted match video. All other questions can be found on my main channel page.
