  • they give out in british command....the ceremonial uniform looks similiar like Singapore..

  • 歌唱祖國轉做Wooden heart 啦應該,不過警隊而家係march off 改左(Highland Laddie/Black bear/ 大丈夫/Alud Lang Syne/The Happy Wanderer)…

  • @Edwardjsa paces per minute...

Where is the background music of the review order from?

  • @mRsHING We are no awa

  • (1)Pls, stop playing that song, it made us down and no sense of honor. 因你們不會、亦沒有資格控制法治和文明的神聖英式地方!(3) pls, change the green uniform back which we used to have before 1997!!

  • the uniforms they are wearing in this video are British Military Mess dress (which can be used as ceremonial dress)

  • @manutd1968 Not Mess Dress, its design is from No. 2 Uniform

  • @Edwardjsa , PLease be aware, some communit party member

already infiltated to the Hong Kong Police force. That's why .

  • Oh this is very British and Scottish too. The last march was Italian. And the marching was British style not chinese style. And all drill commands were done in English too! Bob M

  • Excuse me,they are HKP(Hong Kong Police),not the damn police in Mainland China

  • you do know all these parades are British based? CMon you think the PLA has Bagpipes?

  • yes, i totally agree with you

  • do they have clikcers under the parade shoes?

  • Yes, which falls off once in a while and needs constant care! But wearing them sure makes a grand entrance!

  • where can u get them...i want them on my parade boots

  • I am not really sure, they were provided to us in the police college. May be you can look on Ebay or something as I have seen them on sale on Ebay. You will have to nail them on to your parade boots yourself then.

  • me too!

  • I LOVE HONG KONG POLICE BAND

  • I remember the Police Band used to play the Happy Wanderer for march off when I was doing this in the early 80s. Some tunes don't need changing!

  • Brings back a lot of good memories, glad to see the standards at the Police College are being well maintained.

    From Canada

  • They marched out better than my platoon did at Kapooka for the Australian Army.

New Stereotype - Asians are good at foot drill.

  • Seen the australian police march before with swinging of arms well bellow shoulder level, they looked as if they were just walking. This Police Force is indeed a First Class with a high standard of discipline judging by the standards of drill.

  • Very well done! Foot and Rifle Drill done and extremely accurately and sharply on the timing. Reminds me of my days as an NCO in the Armed Forces.

  • Good idea! Maybe HK should abandon stupid British individual liberty and switch to Chinese Communist oppression. Maybe HK should abandon stupid British capitalism and switch to Chinese socialism. Maybe HK should abandon the stupid British concept of an elected and accountable government and switch to the Chinese one-party totalitarian state.

Leave HK some of the British traditions -- they are what makes my hometown unique and a welcome reminder of some of her best days.

  • You should go crawling back to the Shenzhen River and leave us Hongkers alone with our cherished traditions.

  • The PLA style, well, it's pretty ugly in my humble opinion...it's like you're dead and your joints are showing signs of rigor mortis...haha. Everyone should be proud of the footdrill at all POPs as these guys put a lot of work into training and learning their drills...so give it some respect, would ya?

  • The brithish march style just makes me think of Indian's, lol. Check this link

    watch?v=ru-xQac_sWw

  • that is brilliant british army drill

  • Makes me proud, it is also good to see that Hong Kong has still kept some of its culture and traditions despite some of it being Very British.

  • lol your right that guy does chew is gum quite loudly and i think its a good parade

  • man the guy who was filming sure dose chew his gum really loud, overall cool vid. The marching brass sounded like the scottish ahtem however when it turn to the saxs and flut it sounded something you would get it in disney lol. 2 star rating still cool.

    Xt

  • Some of the music is Scottish. The first tune in the march off is "We're no' awa' tae bide awa'" and they play "Auld Lang Syne" as they march along the road.
