Very garage band.Guitar is way out of tune,and the drumming is as pedestrian as it gets,and the singing is muted/mixed flat.Thats the classic garage band mix---lmfao.I cant believe these guys are famous. Oh well,different strokes for different folks.

@KurtCobainKid You can just play with a big muff and a fender reverb and you get the same sound out of just about any humbucker. You can see him change his pedals settings at the beginning of songs sometimes, I think he's just dealing with the tone/sustain on the BIG Muff. I think in the early stuff, this is actually a single coil that looks like a humbucker. He's running through the amp with the settings turned high on bass. Play with a Big Muff on a tube amp and that should work too.

@Elieesia Nope, they were divorced in 2000. White Blood Cells (their real breakout album, Fell In Love With A Girl and around when they started appearing on TV and things) wasn't released until 2001. They didn't give a shit about paparazzi, they're the White Stripes. They just wanted people to focus on the music instead of the relationship. He explained it all in an interview with Rolling stone.

And paparazzi? Really? It's Jack White, not Paris Hilton. Jesus.
