  • The Allman Brothers Band made these retards look like a bunch of damn boy scouts.

  • @GeorgiaSouthern87 Now that is a cool trick (whatever retards look like - thought it was a mental problem, but hell. whatever!) Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Outlaws, Molly Hatchett, .38 Special......etc dontcha love em all.

  • I've seen this band and Gator Country about 50 times. Still love em. Some Florida music. Hah

  • American by birth, Floridian by the Grace of Almighty God !!!!!!!!!!!

  • @sgtmdiaz72 There's plently of yankee's below I-10 just look at Miami!

  • Anybody who lives north of IH 10, is a yankee.

  • gator country = heaven

  • As a "Jawga Bulldawg" something in me blanches at this song....but the southern boy in me knows a good rock n rolll song when I hear it. In fact we were making Gator tail stew beside a bunch of Gator fan's at the "Cocktail Party" in Jacksonville who kept playing this song over and over. We enjoyed their music, but for someone they wouldn't eat the gator with us! We got aour asses kicked in the game but who cares, was a heck of a party!.

  • Florida boy here- born n raised. Have never lived anywhere else.

  • This song rocks! If only I could leave for Florida tonight!

  • Fishin' out in the stick marsh music.

  • So true, CarChicky14. I'm a true lover of Southern Rock bands, and have seen Molly Hatchet a few times when I was growing up in Florida. I love Danny Joe Brown's vocals. Also, the guitarists are great in unison toward the end of the song, just like in "Dreams I'll Never See," both from the same debut album.

  • A little bit of that chomp chomp..

  • Molly hatchet will always rock in my mind

  • If you only know Molly hatchet for flirting with disaster you arent a true Molly fan!

  • EVERYONE knows 'Flirtin' With Disaster' but IMO this is Molly Hatchet's finest moment.

  • like the rhythm guitar

  • this song kicks so much ass that we have to poop out our mouths

  • no-one sings up for where i live, let alone kicks ass as well

  • Oh man, this song blows me away everytime.

  • Just thank how big these boy's would have been if Ronnie would have lived

  • FU all that are making fun of this song this song kicks f'n ass so shove it . you know you wish you had this talent

  • great song!!!

  • Thanks for "The Sound of Silence".

  • i remember hearin this in the joint and jammin it out on my radio while on lock up in jacksonville and in gainesville!! awesome song from some florida boyz!!

  • Gentlemen... Dany Joe Brown!!!

  • Nice song :-)

  • ever heard of typos?

    dumbass,

  • @CarChicky14 It's youtube we're all dumbasses

    PS it's look not like, @ 1:42

  • @CarChicky14 S and N are pretty far away on the keyboard.

  • @CarChicky14

    Ever heard of proofreading....?

  • @CarChicky14 matteliano454 is a douche, clearly, but how do you typo a letter halfway across the keyboard?

  • @CarChicky14 picky picky little dicky!

  • @matteliano454 you both dont know shit about classic rock metal or southern rock

  • @matteliano454 y do u people get on here just to wright nasty things just shut the fuck up and enjoy the song who gives a fuck wat it says just enjoy the fucking music

  • this song is about other southern rock artist i think, it reference charlie Daniels and the alman (spelling?) bothers.

  • ya they also reference the outlaws and Lynard skynard (SPELLING???). Also Lynard Skynard (spelling...) is from Florida too!

  • Naw, both wrong, it's Lynyrd Skynyrd and Allman Bros band. Check out the Blue Floyd tribute if you like Crowes and the Allmans

  • they reference all of those bands...

  • If yall wanna talk about florida, pretty sure the team got beat by bama...of course i am 60/40 auburn over bama but anyway i am a true Alabamian Southerner and none of us like skynyrds sweet home alabama.....im a fan of the confederate fight song "dixie" though

  • Why? Love that song, and I'm MidWestern

  • I've always like them, not disrespecting Skynyrd, but the Skynyrd guys hate them, saying they rip everyone off

  • Maybe today's Skynyrd lineup hates today's Molly Hatchet (which is now just a tribute band plus Hlubek), but Ronnie VanZant loved them. So much that he is the one the got behind them and did everything he could to help Hatchet reach the big time.

  • Not that I'm aware of, there was always bad blood in the press I read. Here they kinda voice that sentiment I believe. I always liked 'em, bit more then Skynyrd, but about equal nowadays. I like the 90s lineup a lot!

  • @MetallicBill Molly Hatchet will always be better than skynyrd

  • @96renegademan I actually like them in warm regard, Southern Rock is important to not exclude but include Skynyrd, Allmans, Molly Hatchet and .38 Special. I really like .38 Special most I'd say, just have such strong, catchy songs that crossover in a way

  • @96renegademan did they have any problems with Dickey Betts?

  • GO MOLLEY HATCHET.

  • Tally Town!

  • this song makes me miss FLA.grew up in WA state, discovered FLA while in the army lived and partied there '92-'95 great memories, maybe i'll retire there someday cause THERE'S A GATOR IN THE BUSHES AND HE'S CALLIN MY NAME.

  • Molly Hatchet FTW

    Sincerely,

    JUPITER FL

  • God Bless Florida, whether I'm there or not it'll always be my home. I'll always remember it as it was, when there was still "Elbow Room"....

  • I love Florida more than anythang....Ft Lauderdale in here!!! One time for Tallyho, The Muck, J-ville, Miami, Orlando, Ocala, Lake City, Ft. Myers, Tampa, Immokalee, Quincy...hell the whole state!!!

  • FLORIDA PRIDE SON! GET SOME!

  • OCALA FUCKING FLA BABY

  • Molly Hatchet is the most under-appreciated band ever.

  • damn straight joe masters67

  • damn straight joemasters67 true

  • this song should be to us Floridians what Skynyrds Sweet Home Alabama is to Alabamians! Gator country isn't just in Gainesville because the Gator nation is everywhere! Bonifay Florida.... Gator Country!!

  • @gatortison Don Felder of Eagles fame hails from down there, and he documents the scene he knew as a struggling musician, odd they aren't in the book

  • Panama City Florida...Gator Country! Fuck the 'Noles....

  • Gainesville is Gator Country, but I agree FUCK THE NOLES!

  • masterpiece

  • Marshall Tucker, Outlaws, Molly Hatchet, I love em!

  • True American music.

  • southern rock>any shitty rap song you can think of

  • @house6632 ^^what he said. ironically enough, southern rappers killed the hip hop scene, it was cool 20 years ago when hip hop told a story instead of look at me look at my money girls cars jewelry etc.

  • Makes sense to me. But then I love Southern Rock. It's not just songs, it's a lifestyle. Thanks for the post.

  • The lifestyle is just fine with me, a Cali raised , south in his heart boy.

  • hell yea, im from long island but im a fucking redneck i was born in the wrong place

  • I hear you , I'm from Brooklyn , but redneck all the way.

  • @rbw1100 makes me wanna start a big ole pot o' gumbo down by the river and stir it with a paddle. Hillya!

  • @zliminator I'd rather some wine,women,song,and gator stew. mmm-mmm Like I said,it's a lifestyle.

  • @zliminator

Let me know when the pot gets hot!
