  • My first sentence as a child was idiots! we have swords too you know! (in hebrew) :3

  • Alladin sounds sexy...

  • He really does sound better in hebrew! applause for the voice actor!!! ^___^

  • I'll have to disagree with the two comments below the video and above every comments, because his voice in english much better in my opinion, not very realistic with his lips movements because originaly it's english so when he say something in hebrew his lips saying something else in english just the sound of english is gone and switched in hebrew.

  • He really does (did?) have and amazing voice watch?v=9O3ZnS9_nCQ

  • I like Aladdin's voice in this version.

  • this is beautiful' stop complain on everything, just enjoy what you have!

  • 1:40 rotfl !!

  • I dont realy like dubbed movies but this movie has a kickass dubb !

(: i saw this movie today with my little sister they dont making films like this today...

Thanks for sharing those nostalgic moments with us

  • it makes me sad they didn't translate everything like it's in english :[

like the fat lady who holds him says "we will hang nicely this eveing" xD instead of "i still i think he's rather tastey" and i don't like this dub so much...i usually like our hebrew dubbing though but in aladding not, they didn't have to roll the R. 2 bad it's my fav disney movie!

  • "R" is not a rolling "R" in Hebrew, it is a French "R" in Hebrew.

But in most of disney movies they roll the Hebrew "R", which should not be.

  • @Salalala100 actually it should be. that is the ancient hebrew pronunciation, the yemenite jews used to talk hebrew like that. but today we israelis are getting used to the french R (which is a european jews hebrew accent).

  • @Salalala100 : It actually should be , in ancient Hebrew , R were rolled.

  • this is outstandingly good quality

  • YEAH GO HEBREW!!

  • rak hatif shel boker

    ho on yeshalem beyoker

  • metumtamim XDDD

  • was this just a dubbing? cuz the banner at the end is still in englesio.

  • in the 1960 and 1970 that was the accent in Israel.. if you'll hear a songs that was sung in those years you'll hear the R", and sometimes you'll ehar a strange "ch"

  • I disagree, I think that this particular film's dubbing was kickass :)

  • @itaybm2

i hate that they over-pronounce everything. why can't they talk like normal people?

but you're entitled to your opinion and, with your permission, i'll stick to mine ;)

  • Well, I respect your opinion,

but nevertheless, as an Israeli, I can tell you that people used to overpronounce the R's in movies, songs, and about everything, though during the last years, it has started to fade away :)

  • yeah, i know. i'm an israeli too :)

and you're right. the movies that were dubbed in the last 10-15 years are significantly better. they don't sound like a 1950's news announcer anymore.

  • @mynzadik

They used to put extra-emphasis on correct pronounciation, it's only faded in the last 10 yrs or so...

  • @mynzadik

Thats not really an opinion, it's more of a lack of knowledge, by normal people im sure you mean those of your country, and how do you know you dont underpronounce everything?

  • what you mean: why can't they talk like normal people?

what it is normal people for you? just people who talk english? this is our language.. that you get used to english language not make it weird.

  • @kruvchik @DrArchibaldo

i'm not dissing the language just the pronunciation. i know hebrew.

  • The strong R is the proper pronunciation in Hebrew. While the language itself is gradually losing it, it's still in use by older people and anywhere official and respectable (news, radio, but also theater and, like in this case, songs).

  • @mynzadik and why you cant pronounce the חחחח right?

  • Please don't do this again

  • awsome but i think that aladdin's russian.

    hear hes "R"

  • it was recorded in the time when it was a must to have a rolling R while singing.

  • @NoahZCreme no he just have the r that was in the hebrew accent some years ago

  • No , Actually the "R" has to be rolling in Hebrew , most of Israelis don't.

But I know many Sephardi non-Israelis who do !

  • 1:44 metomtamem !!

  • 0:57-0:59 sounds like a guy

  • lol i wasn't looking and i thought it was aladdin but it was the lady

  • it really does sound right in hebrew

  • I don't think arabic is more aggresive than hebrew, modern hebrew has a russian, german, berber accent and arabic still has the aramaic/syriac accent, hebrew and arabic originated from aramaic, just listen to aramaic it sounds more arabic than hebrew

  • the language sounds proper for where it takes place

  • hebrew does have similar words to arabic - but listen to arabic and then to hebrew and you will understand the difference.

  • oh, i didn't know there was an Arabic version. its probably that language that suites the environment but its only different as spanish sounds different from portages.

  • i dont know the difference between spanish to portages but the arabic accent and the way you say the word (pace/ tempo /rhythm i dont know what suits more to this situation) is completely different in arabic.

  • nono.. arabic and hebrew are much more different than spanish and portuguess.

  • The one that dubs Aladdin [Alon Ofir] doesn't sing this song, right? He sounds different than the other songs...

  • Oh God, he sounds so attractive lol

  • lol..true

  • @SaikoTaiko

    I knoooww!

    i love his voice actor!

    Alon Ofir

  • @SaikoTaiko hes not xD I was so disappointed to see his real face xD

  • Aladdin's voice is sounds so right in Hebrew!

  • @clarazerty That's weird, considering he's an Arab.

  • @aerosolXlove both languages come from the same family so it's not so weird to me

  • oohh, Alladin has a nice voice in here :3

much better than the english if I say so.

  • hebrew and arabic are similer, but arabic is more agresive, heberew could be agrsive too,but arabic is more

  • lol rabic is more aggresive? listen carefuly you will hear the diffrence hebrew is the aggresive one if u compare the sounds of the similar words on a wiki you will find the sounds in hebrew is thick & strong while in arabic its way smoother & the arabic grammer is complicated that hebrew thats the differnce!!

  • the diffrence isnt called aggresive, for me -iam arabian- hebrew is aggresive & letter similar sounds are close so its annoying for the ear,as you see the judge cant be in words like ggresive the words doesnt punch you !

  • what an interesting sounding lanuage!

  • sad ha?

  • hebrews lived in the arab countries for ages & they were living in complete peace & respect for thier relegion , only at the recent age only the ( israeli ) became an enemy as they attacked many arab countries till then like in egypt jews lived in egypt & some of them hated israel & loved egypt so dont talk about somthing you dont know

  • Isreal Dident Attack Anybody,Eygpt And The Other Countries Attacked First,We Were Just Defending,And For That Evrybody Hates Us.

  • Im Translating now from hebrew wikipedia:"The Isreali-arab war(known by isrealies as war of of Independence).the war began right after the United Nations Partition Plan for Palestine in 22 in novmber 1947...".

  • "the war broke becuase the arabs resisted to The UN decision,The Arabs Worked to prevent the UN's Disicion and tried to control the land by violent force, the arab started fighting right after the UN's Discion,The Arbas Fought with iregualer froces from outside, the arab countries joind the war too(Egypt,Syria,TransJordan,Lebanon,Iraq and Saudi Arabia)The War Ended in 1949 20 July In A win For IDF,That blocked the arab armies and expended the countries"

    as i sed Self Def

  • what u mean with selfdef the arabs or the israeli?it began when britian decided 2 give palestine&thats what we cll the promise of who doesnt have to who doesnt deserve if me&my friends decided to take your home what would you do?UN is NOT god to obey to what they think.they sent forces already if they didnt then who did the arab army fight in palestine?your talking like its normal!also the arabs werent blocked they actuly almost won till the turkish sultan betrayed them&sent broken weapons

  • do you think its fair to use a hebrew wiki? how would i even discuss with you in a language i dont know? & whats the diffrence anyway if you already think arabs began the war in your country what would a Hebrew wiki present?

  • thats why i have translated it,you can look in the english wiki if u want,i dont have any reason to lie to you ore to translate it wrongfuly.

  • Hey! Relax. The Arab-Israeli conflict's been going on for decades. It was sparked when Jews returned to their ancestral home which was also the Arabs' one. Ever since they have been fighting. The Arabs didn't accept the UN proposal, true, but Israel's been fighting dirty too.

  • it's always fun to listing to songs in languages I don't understand at all ^^

  • very good! i student teach at my hebrew skool. mayb i shud ask if i cud download tyhis n put it on dvd 4 the class

  • LOL

I'm afraid not. Arabic is the newest Semitic language, so, it may take time, but the current pronounciation won't stay forever

  • Uskut

  • It seems like you don't hear Russian much.

  • great version

  • tnx=]

  • Beautiful language. Thank you for uploading this!

  • English: lol i love this song xD

tnx for the upload man ;]

Hebrew:

  • To be honest, hebrew and arabic are very VERY similar.

  • so not true.

right , we've common words but it's totally not the same.

  • yes Arabic is VERY similar to REAL Hebrew

  • not as you think.. there are similar words but that's it. and it doesn't sound similar at all. hebrew sounds less agressive.

  • hebrew sounds less agressive?

Arabic doesnt sound agressive at all

ow yes ^^ i think ur just racist on arabic

    that's it

Anyway , hebrew and arabic are semits languages , they must be related

  • no I'm not racist...I have many arabic friends...and I don't think that hebrew is a preety language... although im an israeli.

just in my opinion. arabic is a little agressive...

  • Arabic has more throat and palate vowels.

Plus they don't have the letter P.

  • so? they still can say it plus arabic has a letter that doesnt exist in any other language in the world & there is nothing called more throat the deepest letter in arabic is the same in hebrew this make no sense

  • I didn't understand shit of what you just said.

    Use punctuation.

  • It's not, but the sounds are very alike and their are a few borrowed words.

  • yes it is very similar

  • oki for for the last time...

there are similar words but that's it!

it doesn't sound the same at all!

so stop saying that.. the grammer is not the same, the accent, just some words. here it's over.

and why someone needs to compare? hebrew it's hebrew and arabic is arabic.

  • neverrrr!!!!! yakkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!

  • Hebrew is the best version in my opinion.

the swedish one is great also.

  • no offense to hebrews - i'm a non-arab and a non-hebrew/jew, but i personally find arabic easier to speak, it's more smooth-going and sound nicer. though, i don't deny the semitic relation between the two languages and hebrew sounds nice in this song.

  • its called a fez but jewish men wear something else on thier heads 4got the name at the moment

  • we call it a yamika.

  • ohhh thanks

  • jewish men wear "kipah "

    it's a skullcap

  • well, both hebrew and arabic contain many sounds that don't exist in english...although certain letters in arabic (like 'ayin and ha) are particularly difficult for non-natives to pronounce

    both are beautiful languages, though

  • It sounds like a very hard language to sing fast in. They did a pretty good job though

  • It depends on the line you have to sing.

Personally, no matter in Hebrew or English I just can't sing fast but can talk fast.

  • Arabic and Hebrew are Semitic languages, which means they are related, personally I think that is one great reason why Israel should make peace with the Palestinians and the Arab World, because that makes them sort of like family.

  • well baghdads location its in the heart of the ancient persian empire dont know in which time the story is set and hebrew its faaaar away from being the "original" language perhaps turkish or parsi depending of the time

  • baghdad originally wasn't originally a persian city. iraq and persia are two different countries and have two different civilisations. have u ever considered prophet abraham persian? no, he wasn't - he was a babylonian from ur, iraq. iraq was the cradle of babylonian, sumerian and akkadian civilisations before the persians took over. some time after muhammad, it become part of the arab muslim empire, and since then had become an arab nation.

  • so, my point is baghdad is in iraq and probably the city was called a different name back then when it was under babylonian, akkadian and sumerian rule. so, it's not a persian city. persepolis is a persian city.

  • It would be better in 'Adeni Yemenite Hebrew.

  • aroooo te has enterao no?? xDD

  • thanks... love that song

  • Hebrew is close to Arabic so this is ALMOST the orginal voice! ^^

  • what you mean "the original voice"? the original voice is english not arabic!!its about arab culture yes...but the original is not arabic!

  • Yes, but because it's about Arab culture, Arabic (or rather Persian?) is the "original".

It's like "Beauty and the Beast" in French.

  • hebrew its not arabic its semitic and it depends in what time if its set in medieval age its(around 1200) probably turkish or egyptian(ayyubid egypt) are the "original" language but if its set in ancient times it must be parsi(persian)no way it can be hebrew because its a semitic language just spoken around the east coast of mediterranean and its supposed this city is based on baghdad which is located very far away from the semitic cities(jerusalem etc etc) definately persian or turk

  • I just meant the Arabic and Hebrew are similiar.

  • wow,the Hebrew version is alot better then the English version.

  • wow that was so cool! even though Aladdin isn't Hebrew it sounds more right for some reason. now I'd really like to see what this song sounds like in Farsi/Arabic!

  • dude thats so cool I can sorta read what ur sayin but I have no clue what it means!

  • I always wait for that ugly girl to sing XD (you know, her in the end) I love when she does that XD this version was pretty good thought.

  • If I remember correctly there's a city called Agraba in Iraq but that might be a coincident...

  • I love his voice, some parts sound amazing, some parts sound a little eh.

And in terms of exactly where it's set, it's hard to tell. Seems like it's set in the Arabian Desert, but the culture of this kingdom seems to blend those of the Arabians, Persians, and the variety of tribes inside and outside of India.

Eh who knows, it shouldn't matter, it's meant to just be a fun movie.

  • its set in saudi arabia. the opening song is called arabian nights. trust me this is my all time fav movie

  • i speak urdu and follow bit of farsi and hebrew sounds like farsi (and maybe arabic)and not like any european language though the israelis think of themselves as european and not mideastern...anyway egypt, mesopotamia-iran, india and china existed before the west as we know it had any high culture

also all countries in the asian middle-east and central asia derive many things mainly from iran and to lesser extent india....

  • And what's your point?

  • hebrew is in the same familiy as arabic and aramic, but the israeli culture is european

    :-)

חחח XD

  • Israelis only consider themselves Europeans for trades and some subjects. Such as sport, music (Eurovision) and such. If we'd consider ourselves europeans wouldn't we use the Euro rather than the Shekel?

Anyway, my main point was just to inform you where you were wrong with that statement.

Ask any Israeli - We're from Asia. If you want it more precise? The Middle East.

So please stop making false statements about what Israelis think.

  • seriously i dont think that is so arabian, many things in those movie reminds more the indian or persian world than arabian, at least mediterranic one.the movie the prince of egypt reminds more those region than that. tigers in middle east????

  • Persian would be Middle Eastern. After all, it was around the area of Iran,Pakistan, all thise places where it's the Middle East. I guess you would just have to try and think of what time frame this would be at, if you really wanted to. After all, this is an animated movie, it really don't matter too much, true?

  • pakistan, india are not in middle east, it ends in iran( persia), it is last middle eastern country. it was after 9/11 that people became put everything at the same boat, but afghanistan, pakistan and india dont belong to middle east. i use to listen people calling arabs to pakistanis or persians, and to think that all arabs are muslims when in U.S. mostly arbs are christians.

  • I WAS commenting on the vid here, so I really don't wish to get caught up in a political and geographic disscussion. It'll just breed arguements, which isn't a good thing. ;)
