NOT a bad idea recording it all! if anything went wrong, you may be able to find out what and where.....and when! looks like it was filmed with another 5Dii!
My friend has nikon d3 and one time we have a wedding photo shoot and it was raining, i said to him to cover his d3 with plastic coz even though its weather sealed its not water proof, he didn't listen and eventually water got in to his top LCD and we can see the water moving inside but its still working. I said to him let it dry but he didn't listen again, so we open it our selves coz it cost almost a grand just to get the water out.

Ya'll are giving him the benefit of the doubt...After all it doesn't show him putting it back together and using it :) j/k

Took maybe an hour the first time I went in. Its much faster for subsequent times.

@owdeguy it takes a lot of guts to do this tear down. You're very skilled.

How long in real time did it take you to disassemble and reassemble this camera?

VERY NICE! I just did a teardown on a 16-35mm F2.8L II and I must say, people should really do it. It's nothing to be feared.
My next teardown will be a 1D III which isn't working. Will try to replace the mirror box and the exterior housing to make it look new.
