A finnish magazine called "Tuulilasi" (eng. Windshield) fitted a 2107 lada with insanely huge turbo with free boost. Otherways the engine was stock. Rear diff was welded. It just barely made it under 10 secs in 1/4 mile. One run was 10.1 and other was 9.9. After 3-4 runs the headgasget sealings blew fillig the air with smoke..

The point was to make "fast" car as cheap as possible. So buying a lada and using 10 000€ to techics you'll have a ride that is ugly as hell, and takes off insanely fast

well i could use 10.000€ on engine and runnig gear easily.. Sequental transmission, LSD, carbonfiber/kevlar driveshaft between gearbox and differential, and driveshafts between differential and wheelhubs made out of springsteel. New headcams, titanium valvesprings and valves, new pistons, connecting rods, crankshaft, intake, exhaustsystem, race-spec turbo, intercooler and KMS engine managemet. Probably goes well above 10.000 euros. Fit those to lada and got yourself a hell of a rocket.
