This episode made itimpossible for that to ever happen now. Even Eleven made it crystal clear that he killed ALL the Timelords. And the Doctor is never wrong.

@masaruten personally I'm trying to figure out why Rasillon didnt smoke the Doctor the moment he arrived what with their presence being reliant on an easily breakable machine.

@angrydead He was probably relying on the Doctor's desire to solve problems with words rather than violence. Don't forget, universe or not, Gallifrey is the Doctor's home, the TimeLords his people, could YOU pull the trigger in that case?

Not to mention the fact he didn't know who he wanted to kill more, Rasillon or The Master. Either way, Rasillon would've 'won', because he'd have forced the Doctor to commit Murder. But naturally, the Doctor wouldn't even give him that.

@masaruten Possibly but Rasillon is as brilliant and resoarceful as the Doctor so would have been aware of how vulnrable his situation was. Also on a practical level Rasillon's aim was to emerge victorious from the time war pissing on the Doctor would have been little more than a bonus. I'd more honestly put it down to a plot hole due to sloppy writting.
