  • If I where you I'd check the oxygen sensor. I had the same problem and that's all I had to replace. New sparkplugs could help lower it a little

  • You just have to unplug the vacuum of "GR" valve ; the engine gonna spend a little more fuel but the idle speed will be ok .

  • do a compression test.

  • If you need to it is worth mentioning that the EGR can be blocked off. This will cause the car to have a "quicker" rev. You can use two layers of a soda can cut the the correct shape for a perfect "stealth" block off plate.

  • Hi, I had a similar problem with my 87GT where it would idle higher than usual (around the same amounts as you put down) and I discovered a vacuum leak that was caused by the EGR hose. You might want to check that out. PM me if you need more info.
