I'm confused...Warren Buffet seems to agree that the growing wealth gap is a huge problem. So, why does he hate his granddaughter if she's saying the same thing? Am I missing something?!
@swpdisciple yeah. you are. his public persona is public bullshit. he's really not donating his money, because his billions are in a trust fund. but he MAKES money by having such a public profile, because when you can MOVE the market, you MOVE it in your FAVOR. Get it? Got it? Good.
@swpdisciple I mean, you're talking about a guy that made BILLIONS for DECADES and never gave anything to anybody. And, suddenly, he gives it all away? Bull.

Some of the biggest men in the United States, in the field of commerce and manufacture, are afraid of somebody, are afraid of something. @Markitos203 Wilson is talking about the White Nazi Satanists who control the one percent - and control the government and military / police!! But it is your average white jane and joe doing Satan's work!!!
She should count herself lucky she wasn't molested. After all, Buffett was heavily implicated in the ritual murders of FBI FInders child kidnapping cases of the 1980's where boys and girls were kidnapped, tortured, molested, and even killed. Check out Conspiracy of Silence about the Franklin Scandal.
I remember when I was working in the antiwar movement at the University of Texas, Austin (1969-71). In our core, leadership group, there was a guy who told me that his parents had told him that unless he stopped doing this "radical" stuff, they were going to cut off his college money. I gave him my condolences and said, "Well, I don't have to worry about that, since I've worked myself through college with no support. WORKERS OF THE WORLD, UNITE! On survival mode, from the island of Kauai.
@kauaiphil I think it's funny that while you may support the "radical" causes, your example of funding your own college is exactly the type of situation that Friedman and someone like Dave Ramsey would argue for. Congratulations on doing something that a very small percentage of the population are able to accomplish on their own nowadays. Life always has choices. :)
Anyone notice the way unemployment/underemployment is left out of this film? One of the way the MSM diffuses the tension caused by more and more highway robbery from the middle classes of America is to depict those who are in dire poverty,as this tends to say to those losing jobs to the elite moving manufacturing overseas that things could be worse-so just be happy for what you have(a TV & car) and shutup. Those who have issues with what's going on are simply whiners who should look at those ev
Buffet is one of them: The Illuminati. It's all about their stupid bloodlines. If you don't know who the Illuminati are, please watch The Money Masters, The Creature From Jekyll Island and The American Dream Cartoon.
I'm frankly relieved Milton Friedman has shown some frustration. He has always been very gracious debating his opponents for decades, and I was waiting where he would just say to the tune, "damn it, there is no reasoning with you."
When you actually research the macro economic data on tax receipts as a % of GDP, Marginal tax rates, you will find out Milton is right and the documentary is wrong.
@NoProbaloAmigo It was actually quite strange to see him claim that a more progressive tax structure would be 'socialism' when back in the 80s he would make the distinction that socialism is public ownership of the means of production.
@JCacho I really don't know, all I know was that he was visibly frustrated with the interviewer, which says more about the interviewer rather than Friedman. In all the youtube videos with Friedman, his patience is always evident. Also in practice, regardless, progressive tax schemes tend to do nothing for revenues, especially when you take into consideration consumption taxes.
What you're saying is dishonest. Friedman was openly discussing how the definition of socialism had changed in the 20th century due to change in public opinion. He said it while being interviewed by Charlie Rose and he was illustrating the positive effects of changing public opinion. Be more thorough next time you cite Friedman and don't spread misinformation.
@specialguy1911 if people have re-defined socialism to mean "welfare state" then that's fine. But i guess actual socialist will have to come up with a new term for an economy organized around the public ownership of the means of production. Or we could call a welfare state a mixed economy and call socialism socialism cause we already have words for each of them. btw if peoples public opinion changed they havent shown it, even cons are pro-welfare state. see bailouts/subsidies
@nerfmyaccount Welfare state in totality is de facto socialism. If you are going to give welfare to enough recipients then you are taxing enough of the economy to create socialism. Gov't owes business economically by having to utilize all of its profit more or less. Your argument of terminology then becomes moot. Also if you enlarge the welfare state, then ultimately there is no private sector and socialism occurs.
as bad as Warren Buffet is this guy shouldn't have interviewed her. she is young, naive, and does not know anything about how the world really works, didn't know how vicious Warren Buffet is. it is one thing to say you don't care about the money, another to realize that you won't have it, or the relationship with the one who gave it to you.
warren bufett doesnt care about money the way we care..he is an enterprenuer..he belives in development ..and money as a tool...he is one of the goods agents of money..
I am developing as a fine young man! i enjoy everything i do like camping, playing video games, hangin out with friends on friday nights, getting good grades and talking to hot woman, and im not even rich! i just live my average life day after day doing what i love! hear my story if you subscribe!
It doesn't matter how much he has donated to charity. If Buffett won't even treat his family members well, then his charitable giving means nothing. Charity begins at home. But I have always been personally disgusted by those who achieve wealth and refuse to adequately share it with their family. He has enough money to set them up with trusts and still give massive amounts to charity. But its always the ones who grow up with nothing who behave like this when they become wealthy.
Respond to this video... 'its always the ones who grow up with nothing who behave like this...' Not true. Do not judge someone just because they grew up with limited means - that is most of the world.
I love how the dog follows the dad That brian guy is a dick! I like the Dad, he is clearly an empathic person, it shows because he did do that documentary, which for him to be compassionate about poverty in a different country with a different race years ago shows that he is a least compassionate. He has to many yes men around him though.
stfu mothefkr, do u even know how much money has he donated to charity. he's donated billions which has helped hundreds of thousands of homeless people who were suffering from famine and disease.
u can call him a dick but he's like a god to thousands of people all around the globe.
bill gates hasn't even donated a billion dollars (800 million) and he was the richest person for a long time.
The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation regularly makes headlines as the largest charitable foundation in the country.
In its 12 years of operation, the foundation has donated $10.5 billion in grants, including a 10-year, $750 million dollar grant to the Global Alliance to help fund childhood vaccinations in underdeveloped countries (in 2005, about 70 percent of the foundation's grants went toward global efforts).
The foundation donates roughly $1.5 billion each year
@nepalihercules He should redistribute his wealth instead of wasting it on inefficient charities. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is going to be a failure. The problem is wealth inequality, Africans don't need to be taught they need to be given the freedom of self-determination and the right to keep their own resources
@NoYouShutUpDad why do you say that? people do not suck and heres why: people made religion, they made chocolate (not even only candybars, all chocolates!), and they even made roller coasters! (sarcasm)
@tanjou Yep. He is old and has only money. He doesn't even enjoy the money he has. He drives a silly towncar and he is pushing his family away. He will just die old, rich and alone.

I was raised that unless some horrible crime were to happen (which it never did) you NEVER EVER speak poorly about any family member publicly. You don't have to kiss anyones hoo hoo BUT keep your mouth shut & be thankful for what your family has given you. Life, an education, food on your table, a roof over your head. These necessities are blessings no matter what your status is. If I had worked hard & became a billionaire I would be mad as hell that a relative had publicly criticized me.
