In the Nirvana songs Kurt wrote all the music, but almost all of Foo Fighters was written by Dave. Maybe it's an aspect of his wriing style, I don't know though. Maybe it's the recordings quality, but I don't hear any muffling that you hear. Maybe it's also how the tracks were layed on top of each other.

I love this album. You can hear alot of the old Nirvana influence in the early stuff (especially the drum beat in this track). It wasn't so obvious back then as it is now.
