These are Mongolian "wolves". They're about 1/4 the size of a North American wolf. I've worked around many birds of prey, in northern Canada. Great horned owls, eagles, hawks, falcons. That can't be a wolf, wolf's height from ground to shoulder is about 1meters and only wolf cubs is on the prey lest of an eagle and rearly eagles will target a wolf cub because their parents will tear them apart (if they are near the cubs).

that is not an eagle, that is an Ospray, I would know because i have lived in a lot of places and an eagle is absolutely not as big as a fox. They only usually prey on fish, rabbits, mice, small rodents or animals, An Ospray goes for big and live prey. They can take down an elk or a deer. But a wolf would most likely kill it or delay it so that it could get away. A fox is a possibility.
A Golden Eagles wings typically get up to 7ft long, but have been recorded to have up to a 9 ft wingspan. You need to wiki Golden Eagle because they DO get very large and have been known to pray on larger animals such as foxes, goats and young deer.

the wolves at the start of the video ARE wolves and not foxes. There are many different types of wolves after all, and in mongolia, wolf are coyote sized(google it if you dont believe) hence the ability to train golden eagles to hunt them.They are called Mongolian (Eurasian) wolf. And are approximately 70 cm at the shoulder when adult.

that is not an eagle, that is an Ospray, I would know because i have lived in a lot of places and an eagle is absolutely not as big as a fox. They only usually prey on fish, rabbits, mice, small rodents or animals, An Ospray goes for big and live prey. They can take down an elk or a deer. But a wolf would most likely kill it or delay it so that it could get away. A fox is a possibility.

@MistaBray First of all.....they ARE wolves. Get you facts straight, then comment. The 2 hour documentary was shown on national TV for everyone to watch. If my memory is correct, they are Mongolian wolves and the nomadic tribes have been using eagles to hunt with for a thousand years or more. Their wolves are smaller than ours and the eagles, Golden Eagles to be exact are very large by our standards.
You can sure wreck world history with your verbal vomit.

It is a wolf just not a grey wolf like in North America. Mongolians use eagles to hunt with which is where these pictures were taken. The wolves in Asia are much smaller.
