I went on the 4th of July and one of the spectator drag racers had on his car Bring-Back-Gomes =( on the side of his Caprice and then i heard he was banned cuz of this.. but i wasn't sure.

@dptkaos420 Yeah, when hes not too busy hitting people. An occassional rub from a battle in the corners is understandable. But there is no reason for 2 cars touching in the middle of the straits like in this case, thats rediculous. If someone cant race clean other than an ocassional "battle rub" then they dont belong on the track. Someone who wants to drive like that can run in a demo derby, theyd love him there.

@circlelt1 that real easy for someone to say thats watching a video on you tube but maybe if you look really close you will see the lt1's front wheels jerk left it looks like he thought he was going to hit the wall thats what caused the racing accident

@circlelt1  if you look really close just before the crash you will see the lt1's wheels turn left looks as if he thought he was going to hit the wall tough to tell from the video and easy for some one to judge from the stands

@cmgomes248 Well i studied the vid for the past 10mins, and i see his wheels cranked left, but it didnt seem like he came down because by the time the actual contact was made his wheels appeared strait. Also look where you are a 0:39-0:40 right after you straitened out, and where you were at the point of contact. It was a matter of you following "the groove" a bit more than he was (which is what you're supposed to do in spec. drags), cutting it a pinch sharper may of prevented contact though.

@circlelt1 you are absolutely right i was making a run to line assuming he was going to hold his line i was going to end up very close to him "inches" but iwas under complete control and would not have made contact if he held his line that being said i probably had no chance of catching him after i got loose in 4 so maybe i should not have even tried but i am very competetive and its hard to back out when things are that close and if i do wreck someone and its my fault ill be the first to admit

@cmgomes248 You didnt have enough time to gain back on him, but had it happened in turn 3 maybe. But when the race is that close you wouldnt know it. With me ive won 16 Specs. events in the last 3 seasons, and the only time i ever let off is if im ahead by a lot, if its even close im on it all the way like that. Though even so i usually dont get loose ever as we dont have the 100 treadwear rule like you guys, my camaro runs nt05r's with 00, and my 79 firebird runs 8inch hoosier slicks w/camber.
