Great review, pretty cool figure as well, but a the brown is a bit too light IMO. Still very cool tho. I have the Astrotrain they did, heaps better than the one in the DW re-issue.
Thnx. The e-HOBBY figures are great. I only have one. One problem with all Takara reissues is that they don't take any effort to actually fold the edges of the boxes. They are all rounded, looking horrible. All of my Encore boxes have that problem, except the recent Trailbreaker and Hoist. It seems that they acknowledged the issue and fixed it.
great review man !! ive never seen of these -- hey i just bought a collectors series g1 megs , i stuffed up the other I was re-chroming -- it came out nice but when i transformed it - bad mistake it got scratched , its completely ruined. Im going to take off the paint and paint him black instead.
Thanks, Mikey. The chrome I used needed many weeks of hardening before it truly became solid and hard. Maybe that caused your Megatron to get scratched. Making it brown sounds good. If the handle (his legs) are brown, he'll be like the e-HOBBY Megatron. Are you into collecting TF again?
Most of those repaints are the figures in their Diaclone colors. Detritus is a different story. He was unintentionally drawn at the Decepticon's side in sand colors in an episode in the TV-show. They decided to use that mistake for a new character in the comics and later on as an e-HOBBY figure. He's somewhat hard to find.
I read somewhere that's he's a Junkion that seeks to overthrow Wreck-Gar. At least, that the Transformers wiki gist of it.

I kind of like how we can get new characters from animation errors. It feels like there is a recolour for everything :D
