I just watched and rewatched the ending of this video like 11 times. Not the middle, that was too sad I could only watch it once. But the ending made me laugh really hard.
I am 23. When i was at school i bullied because people thought i was gay. I then started to think i was gay because other people said i was, so i tried to make myself straight. I now know im gay because i just am. I go to a youth group aged 15-25 and that has helped a lot. I also studied hard, just got my degree and next year i'm going to go teach in Japan - those who called me gay are unemployed divorced and have to pay for the child they have <-- thats true
it seems ppl are happier with their sexuality in the uk. i've been to two gay youth groups in my town and their are 14/15 yo's who are out and relatively comfortable with their sexuality. sure there are exceptions but just seems america is a bit more closed minded

I have helped out several times at a youth center and many of the young guys I deal with are coming to terms with their sexuality. 2 14 yr old boys I delt with were thinking about killing themsevles. I witnessed a man saying whom I think was his 8 y.o son that he's behaving like a faggot (he said it in Jamaican creole so it sounded really intense). I used to get some bullying in school after I came out, people were alienating me and if anything was said it was "gay" at some point I just thought that's really the best they can do, so everytime I got called something to do with being gay I'd think of something to do with being straight and reply with that and people were like "how is that an insult?" and I'd simply say "how is what you said to me an insult?" and weirdly after that nobody cared and everyone was treating me normally again

At my old school they had a no tolerance policy. Only my English teacher ever followed it. I would complain to my other teachers, and they would ignore me. If someone was called fat or something, the person doing the name calling was put in detention. Not the same for gay hate. I'm happy I transferred now, people are nice, and the staff actually follows their policy.
