Jim was such a mellow gentleman. His music is timeless and beautiful as ever. There will never be another like him and we miss him so. They just don't have this kind of talent in todays country. Those of us who grew up listening to Jim and Marty Robbins will continue to do so. No one has that kind of class and talent anymore.

My Grandmother always listened to Jim Reeves. On the night my grandmother went home to be with Jesus, I sat up most of the evening listening to Jim Reeves and thinking about my grandmother. Her and Jim are in Heaven and I'm sure he's singing to her.

We use to listen to Jim Reeves on the Grand ol Opry on Saturday nights. Sunday nights, when we'd get home from church, we watch the Beatles on Ed Sullivan. I loved them both.
Jim's voice is just pure cool - soothing and relaxing. It's a little sad though. But as young as I am he is my favorite singer, always been since I heard him when I was 4 or 5. It's funy cause my friends don't even know him, their grandpas do though. They don't make singers like him anymore for sure.

During the 60's we used to live in Bangladash. There we used to listen to radio station from what used to be Ceylon (now Sri Lanka) "Radio Ceylon, the commercial service of Ceylon broadcasting corperation" And this sone in that radio station used to be one of my favourite!!
The DJ at that time who played a lot of Jim Reeves was Vijaya Corea.
My sisters and myself used to listen to Jim Reeves and try to copy the lyrics on to pieces of paper. ...just by listening! We had no TV or other visual aids those days!

Jim's voice is just pure cool - soothing and relaxing. It's a little sad though. But as young as I am he is my favorite singer, always been since I heard him when I was 4 or 5. It's funy cause my friends don't even know him, their grandpas do though. They don't make singers like him anymore for sure.

During the 60's we used to live in Bangladash. There we used to listen to radio station from what used to be Ceylon (now Sri Lanka) "Radio Ceylon, the commercial service of Ceylon broadcasting corperation" And this sone in that radio station used to be one of my favourite!!

The DJ at that time who played a lot of Jim Reeves was Vijaya Corea.
My sisters and myself used to listen to Jim Reeves and try to copy the lyrics on to pieces of paper. ...just by listening! We had no TV or other visual aids those days!

When I was a boy we used to drive from Zimbabwe to South Africa on holidays, my parents always played Jim Reeves. Amazing is all I can say. God bless you Jim. Now I am in Slovakia listening again to this music.

John kennedy III, My dad also loved listening to Jim Reeves. Thats how I got to listening to him. Dad had a big ol'Chrysler and when we would go cruising, dad popped in a Jim Reeves 8-track and off we'd go! My dad has been gone 10 yrs now, but everytime I hear Mr. Reeves singing, the memories AND the tears start a flowin'. So I know how you feel. I am 46 yrs old now.

A decent fellow, Jim Reeves. My dad liked his songs a lot. My dad passed away a few years ago, this is one of many songs that make me think of him. Thanks for your video even though it brings a tear to my eye.

This clipp is priceless. I've been a fan of Gentleman Jim since 1963. The first song I remember of his back then was 'Bimbo' great novelty song. I am 65 years old now and still love his records. I also love The Beatles and Led Zep and many more.

Jim Reeve, one of the greatest singers of all time. A singer that never had a false note in his voice and never needed retakes! God bless him. Used to be forced to listen to all his music when my mum was alive :) But loved it too!
