The iPod is made in two factories in Suzhou and Longhua, China. @zwiiyt Affordable? CraApple products are the most expensive. Plus, you can only use CrApple parts with them. I had to replace the battery after 12 months and MagSafe (safe?) power adapter after 18 months for my CrApple MacBook. Maybe the parts that come in the box are built to break down after 12-18 months.

CrApple the alternative to the evil Microshit? Fuck them both. They done pimped the people enough. I'll stick to Japanese brands. They guarantee the very best quality and reliability.

You realize that Steve Jobs personally intervened and directed Apple products at the most microscopic levels, everything from even the diameter and shape of the most insignificant curves in product packaging.

Steve Wozniak was extremely important in the very early years of Apple's technical engineering, but it was Jobs who made Apple what it is today.

@Redfingers As I stated in the previous reply, Steve Jobs would set the user interface, behavioristic and industrial design goals of essentially every product at Apple. The software and hardware engineers were required to manifest his visions in reality. There are innumerable stories from Apple employees of Steve rejecting prototypes and demos for the sake of a few pixels, a curve or an angle that displeased him. His personal touch is in every Apple product today. He was a perfectionist.

Jobs returned to Atari and was given the task of creating a circuit board for the game Breakout. According to Atari co-founder Nolan Bushnell, Atari offered $100 for each chip that was eliminated in the machine. Jobs had little interest in or knowledge of circuit board design and made a deal with Wozniak to split the bonus evenly between them if Wozniak could minimize the number of chips.
