Had one of these in 1970
The bigger the wake the more hydrodynamic resistance.
That's how you guys can tell which one has the most efficient hull design- the one with the smallest wake... so, smaller is better here.

Those 327 and 283 powered Chris-Craft boats are in a class of their own. Some of the magic was lost when the 350 became standard.
