I noticed that you don't have the plastic buffer jammie that you are supposed to use on the model 2 genesis to make it look flush. when you stick it in your system it looks horrible without it.

take a leaf out of james rolfe (AVGN) and go absolute apeshit on the game! the console is bad, you must rant about it to the best of your ability, shout at it, hit it, break it if you have to. hell you could even defacate on it if you wanted goddamn!
Well, the Genesis doesn't count as an add-on. I think you meant only two add-ons. But if you're also counting the Master Gear converter, and the XBAND, and Sega Channel, I guess it....... did have a lot of addons.
The Genesis 2 and CD 2 combo did look all that good either, at least they looked coherent with one another but that split line in between both units always bothered me. It clearly stated that it was just an add on an not a single machine.
The 32X was more akin to a dead siamese twin than a robot head, and far more undesirable.
this is what i hate about the 32x, if you dont have the converter for the model 1 console its extremely hard to find one and you have a better chance of finding a model 2 to use it with

there may be the odd good game, but the problem isnt with the gmaes, its with the 32x itself, is ridiculously expensive, and if you dont have the cables to go with it then there is no way of knowing whether or not it would work, i bought one which came without the cables, and after i found the cables it still didnt work
i saw another one on ebay with a message saying that it has been tested and its working, but i still dont think its worth bothering with, because the only games i wanted were mortal kombat 2 and primal rage, and also like you said its a nightmare to get set up
I will never understand that my parents said "No, let's not get a sega cd" but then bought us the 32x. We got Doom and Star Wars Arcade for it. YEARS later I got Chaotix. About a year after that, it was all given away or sold or thrown away or something. ...yeah. Woulda done more with a sega cd, is all i'm sayin'.
The sega CD is more fun than the 32x, but it has its fair share of embarrassing moments too. Although the Sega CD was pretty much the same in the CPU department, at least it had stuff like Sonic CD, Snatcher, Popful Mail, and Lunar. I really would've liked to have seen more 32x CD development though.

When I bought mine off ebay, it actually came with both model 1 and model two converter plugs.

It was indeed a chore as far as hooking it up. I suppose I forgot due to the fact I had all the necessary cords, and everything worked fine for me.
