  • Very cool, unique setup.

  • man i love your keyboard!

  • nvm found it! awesome!

  • what keyboard is that??

  • maybe you can see the monitor better if you don't have that first screen in the way

  • With what software are you emulating the mouse?

  • '''So the walls is made of cartoon-looking plastic, and youre listening to Pokemon music'''

    ^Who called it.

  • that's simply amazing

  • Hey that's EMACS you're scripting in isn't it?

  • what are you actually typing it seems most random.

  • Dear tkyths, please allowed me to asked a few questions concerning this video. thank you very much

1Whether the mouse emulator works in both the window and the linux environment. I had watched your yt video extractor and was astounded by its efficiency

  • 1. Technically, mouse emulation is enabled only on the Linux box

(laptop); but since the Synergy client software (mentioned below)

connects the window box to its server (Linux), you end up being

able to use mouse emulation on both platforms. (Windows does have

    Mouse Key emulation btw.)

  • 2what are the necessary hardware and software required to enable the 2 different systems to communicate as demonstrated in this video.

3Can you explain the command you have performed from 0'00-0'30. what i can see is-A send command to B.B perform the command. KVM hotkey clicked, control shift to B, mouse emulator at work

  • 2. Synergy. In my video, Linux is running a Synergy server

whereas Windows is runing a Synergy client process.

    3. I'm not sure which "command" you are referring to. I'm using

heavily customized Emacs 23 as the main controller if that's what

    you are asking.

  • thank you very much, tkykhs.

  • sorry to ask

but what are you trying to prove !

  • For people who get nothing out of it, nothing.

    Sounds tautological, but not quite

  • This is amazing! Very cool work enviroment! :D

  • thanks. it's easier this way because i can do both typing and handwriting in short distances.

  • Nice! What keyboard is that? I need an external keyboard for my T60.

  • The base is a smk-88 with blue cherries. I made modifications to it (refer to my video v=cPqyKoZWdUU) and it's not quite a smk-88 anymore, but at least the shape is the same.

  • America runs on Dunkn

  • Wow this is really cool, where did you get this little supporting table under your x61?

  • Oh, that's just a cheap book holder I purchased a long time ago from Office Depot.

  • unfortunatly I failed to read that it is two computers.

    bahh

    !!

  • ohhhh please please please please tell me how you got your external monitor working with the tablet and linux. I have an x60, and then when I attach the external the cursor travels the two screens even though clearly the stylus can only be used on one of them. This has be driving me up a wall all summer, and need it to be fixed before school in September. Thank you! *desperate*

  • It's relatively easy to use both an external monitor and your laptop LCD at the same time using xrandr. In fact, my standard configuration used to be:

    * Top: 24 inch LCD @ 1920x1200

    * Bottom: X61 tablet (running Ubuntu Gutsy) @ 1400x1050

I might post a video with some explanation of how to do it later.

  • I got mine working with xinerama, but not totally satisfactory as I it seems to not be too happy with my hardware as my computer is slow now

  • nice monitor

  • you need to go out more

  • Interesting. And different. :)
