if you ask for the real American language, and the truth American people sound different than the English we spoke now by some words too which my English teacher taught us in school.

also most of us don't want to learn the old language so we chose the new language to spoke which was easier.

even now most of us spoke English more.

@ iforgotmyscreenna i don't think it's right to say that the people who left china have a higher chance of representing the original. We don't know if those who left China kept the language better than those who stayed. B/c the Chinese did force the Hmong to speak only chinese during their rule, so their language could just be dilluted as those who live in other places. But nobody knows but those who lived way back then. But who cares as long as we are still able to live and know we are Hmong.

I can tell that she's singing in Hmong, but with a Chinese accent. I think it's due to the fact that they live in China. Just like those Hmong who live in Thailand and Laos, they have a Thai/Lao accent.

If I have to bet which accent is the MOST accurate one.... I would bet on the Hmong Chinese because they never left the motherland. Those of us who went to Laos and then to America pick up many accents along the way. Plus, we even changed some of our words.
