His pitch is far better than I think you're implying. That said, I think the style in which he sang it did not really fit the tune, was rather, dull, I suppose. Put a little more bounce it and you're set. Don't worry about your pitch dude, it's better than half the musicians on the radio, with all that auto-tune and pitch-adjusting bs. Keep it up.
