Holy grail of shooters? Goldeneye 64 was the first super good shooter. Wolfenstein 3D is the path paver. But, if you want to know where ALL of these shooters need to look.

Halo: Combat Evolved for the original XBox was the best shooter ever made. It is, to me, in the top 10 games of all time. None of the other Halos, BAttlefields, or Call of Duties can compare to the experience one had with this XBox launch title. It single handedly gave Microsoft 3rd party credibility.
