@tehb0xn00b i wasn't coding the Auto Scare System, but i have a vague understanding of how it works. it's unlike the AI director in that it doesn't place enemies or powerups, or really do anything else to change the difficulty level. it's entirely to give the game a scary, random atmosphere.

I think the only reason this game is scary is because it's not one of those other "scary" games where they fill up rooms with headcrab zombies, but they actually turn player tactics against you. If you ever saw gameplay or actually played it, then you'd see that when most players can't open a door, they turn and look for another way out, making a perfect chance for a scare. It just seems like a real horror game, or movie even. Even my little brother wants to play it, and he's 8!
