Very depressing to see the only overly retarded comments on this beautiful song/video in the comments here in german. I come from germany myself, but comments like "Dammse420" make me feel ashamed to share the same country. Just shut the fuck up and listen to the good music. If you don't enjoy it, listen to something you like, perhaps?
hauntingly beautiful. it has something "final" to it. I can't help but imagiine the camera angle is from the back of a hearse. the video really gets to me and makes me want to weep so bad. I have to think of a person I loved who died recently.

Where did you find this cool lo-fi sounding version? I like it, the two versions of it on my album are both clearer and have much greater stereo separation
@caitlinx54 Well there is no Melancholia XIV, I can tell you that. But this is the the second track of the album, and the track after it is ALSO a variation of this loop.. And I believe in the Variations album, the last track is also based from this loop? Hope that helps!!
@FriendlyShadow1 Can I please virtually high five you, Gumbyrearygood and unitedguns for just describing to a fucking tee what I am going through and what I think of this after hearing this for the first time?
Wow.. These "unofficial, fan" videos are quality, visuels can actually be a part of a song, it can add and change your mind on how you thought of the song before, id get video whith the song on my Ipod/MP3/IPhone/etc, if i were anyone reading this.
There was a period of time when I was dealing with oppressive and sanity-shattering depression. Melancholia, pot, and a few choice titles of books got me through that period. Thank you William Basinski.
Michael Fournier's entry in the 33 1/3rd series about the Minutemen's Double Nickels on the Dime album, a book I read when I was 12 called Dave at Night and Sleepwalking Through History by Haynes Johnson. That's a really disparate group, but it worked.
aaron, you may be right, but this kin'o' mental cruelty wus bad eneuch commin fae ither weans whun ye gane tae school, but whun the teachers join't in this kin' o' ill fashion't cruelty it pits a mark on ye for the rest o' yer deys an it's ill tae hae onythin but a suspeeshun for ony sae criet larnit folk way there fancy Inglish tongues whut they be tae get aff a whin stane for they niver got them roon here. Anyway, did you enjoy the video?
Tak powstał "The Disintegration Loops", wstrząsający zapis przemijania.
