I knew SGM back in the 1980's who lost his right eye in Vietnam because of he said from the gases of the M-16's. even with eye protection the gases would get my eye watering in the Hot Fort Sill Summer.

@crazy0ace1 The Diablo is designed to run with standard AR15 mags on the .223 version and the CProducts 7.62x39 Gen4 mags on the 7.62x39 version.

I wonder how accurate it is at 100 yards. Love to have one I would like for it be more accurate up to 200 yards and further I know the 7.62x39 has the power to do that.

@mlj25 - The barrel is a Lothar Walther polygonal bore barrel - so the overall accuracy is going to be ammo dependant. I would expect 2MOA with Wolf and if you get some nice ammo or load your own, I would not be surprised to se MOA groups out of this. The 5.56 and 6.8 versions easily shoot MOA groups with the right ammo and the right shooter.

@strykersigma - there will be a 14.5 with a pinned comp and a 16" version. It is very unlikely that there will be a 10.5" version as with the velocities gained from the 7" version, there is no point to having a 10.5" version. A suppressor runs great on the 7" version of the 7.62x39.

I think the combination muzzle blast compensator does most of that fighting for you. It certainly does not appear to be that tough to control from this vid which is an impressive achievement from such a short system.

I have a question PWS - talk to me about magazines. Everything I've read on 7.62x39 in an AR platform regards magazines as a real issue- Are you using AK mags in that or some special brand of AR mag developed for 7.62x39. I counted 26 shots but that looks like a 30 rounder - was there an issue with loading it fully?

We use C-Products mags. They are "30 round" - but hold 29 rounds. Not sure why that one had 26 - but I think you are correct on the count. The mags work well. Much better than anything else I've seen.

I've never used one of the MGI lowers - so I truly don't know. However, due to the width of an AK47 magazine, I do not believe it would work.
