TGIM EPISODE 3: Keep It In Perspective

Literally just got my coursework marks back and have an exam tomorrow and things are not going well. Then I happened to see this video, wow inspirational. One day at a time, I'm gonna turn this around.

perpective...in college a "D" is passing! ill take that, but save those for your toughest 3 or 4 courses (statistics? physics?)..repeat the course if it was in your major...

I've been out of schooll for a looong time, but never did and still don't understand curves. Give me what I need to fairly pass this test and if I make a 68, then should get a D, regardless if the next person makes a 30%. Don't "curve" it. To me, that shows poor teaching--you didn't give me what I needed at the outset--and it inspires mediocrity--you feel good for only making a "D" bc your classmate failed. But somewhere in the world, somebody can take that test and make an "A".

Great vides but I don't think the girl who got the 68% should be satisfied. Just b/c you score 68% and the next highest grade is 30% it doesn't mean you have an "A". It's like you said in a previous video, she's a Reggie Bush running 81 yards in college but may run18 in the NFL b/c the competition wasn't as tough. Maybe in that class, the next best is 30% but it won't be that way in the real world. My point is, dont worry about your peer group, good or bad performance from them. Just do you!

Man I dont know why I understand the concept that I am not the only one going through the same things concerning school or whatever but when im down I tend to forget quickly...I guess thats just what comes with being a human..Thanks for talkin on subjects that completely relate to me and helping me see things in yet a different light!!
