I used to say that all the time. I've been playing for over 5 years and can't imagine my life without it! I'm going to jam at a bar later tonite with some friends! You can do it if you really want to!

This section of the DVD had Bill explaining how to play backup on this sort of modal song, rolling through the mandolin solo when the fiddle chops.

Rolls can be used as a great backup as long as they aren't playing the same melody when another instrument is taking a solo.
