  • God damn I got an instant drunk lmao

  • You would think after as many stills as he made he would be better on how to solder a joint properly....he probably drank so much he forgot....fun to watch though

  • this is history, these guys are preserving/preserved a tradtion.. good for them!

  • brings me back a few years i helped my great grandpa and grandpa run their still i was no more than 11 at the time last i made was over 20 years ago just to show my son what i had to do when i was a kid

  • did he say he kept a coons pecker in his pocket for years?? :O

  • The thump keg serves as a filter for the alcohol,it improves/purifies it.Think of a water bong, the smoke gets through but most of the impurities are filtered out, enhancing any product to be smoked. The water in a bong doesn't have to be heated in order for the smoke to pass through it.Smoke is a higher temperature than vapor, which is whats coming off the still, not smoke.Water would lower the proof of the alcohol, hence back ends :end of a run of shine, wouldn't lower the proof.Another explanation.

  • How ingenious is the paste? Its an organic plumber's putty ,that is food grade, brilliant! And theres people that want to call this guy a dumb ass......

  • i like this . the family should make copies to sell so they have money to pay for Popcorns upkeep . He was a true American legend and he should have a museum built about his life and those who taught him

  • oki so how does steam rise outa the thump keg is the keg heated ?????

  • @jparment1

steam from fist barell goes into thump and the heat from the steam heats up the backings witch makes it steam from tump goes in worm then turs into liquid after getting chilled from cold water in worm barell

  • 0:01 Whad ya say J.B?

  • well you can make 200 gallons of wine or beer a year I make close to that every year and I have never murdered or raped anyone and actually I am sipping on a mason jar right now Its your upbringing moron

  • 1) what is the function of the stump keg? I understand the construction and flow of steam but not why it is important unless it is some kind of simple reflux chamber. could some one explain it a bit?

    2) why do the bakkins need to be used instead of clean water or plain moon shine? I get that it is a mix of alcohol and water, and probably keeps more water and lets alcohol pass at the gas/liquid interface. but could some one explain?

  • @demnlordd666 1) To double distill the alcohol while removing more and more impurities. It uses the steam from the pot and pushes through the back ends, evaporating more alcohol along the way and distilling at a higher proof, (2)thus the reason you don't use water in a thump keg. Wouldn't do any good.

  • @WildlifeSeriaLKiller ok so it is a reflux chamber kinda. the alcohol steam mix hits the colder back ends in the thump keg, but only the alcohol is mobile enough to stay in vapor form while the water steam looses too much energy and gets stuck, then you are passing more alcohol to the worm. ok so when you are done with the run, are the back ends the last out the worm or the stuff left in the thump keg that still has alcohol?

  • @WildlifeSeriaLKiller ,What if you dont have any back ends, could you not use the thump keg and run it straight through the worm? and maybe save the back ends from that run to use next time. Or could you do like demnlord666 said and use moonshine in the thump keg? Thank for posting these videos by the way, love watching Popcorn I already watched these several times..

  • @demnlordd666 its just like a water bong........lol

  • @demnlordd666

the thump keg is is a barrel that holds the backins and this 'iil double the proof of the steam. this steam moves up into the smaller thump rod that will move to the worm and condense.

  • Bustin out the Dancin' Outlaw haha

  • I got an instant drunk ... lolll :D

  • I LOVE TO HEAR POPCORN LAUGH,I LAUGH JUS' KAUSE HE LAUGHS

  • @pjicleanair420 this is why i whatch out for the grey hairs also known as old people

  • @Rvidioes There's a saying among rednecks, "don't try and rob an old redneck, cuz that bastard'll just kill ya. If he doesn't kill ya right thar, he'll hunt you down an' kill ya later".

  • This guy entertains me more then any video game out there.

  • @Ratacon2004 video games r for d bags

  • @BOPotstill the police dont make the laws they just enforce them... if you want to get mad at someone try the politicians they are the ones who make the decision of what we can and cant have.. they are making the decisions of what we can and cant consume not the cops.............

  • @dvon24 Your right, but they could ignore bootleggers and go FUCK WITH THE MURDERERS AND RAPISTS. You sure do sound like a liberal.

  • @z28931 ummm did you read my post because i think you misunderstood..... no way im liberal and i said that the lawmakers are trying to make decisions for us... how is that liberal??? im not a fan of big government... my great grandfather spent fed time for bootlegging.. and i totally agree i try to concentrate going after the murders and rapists but when you have lawyers making the laws they are just going to make it difficult for all of us

  • @z28931 alcohol is one of the largest contributors to murder and rape, and the black market is also filled with violence....so technically by going after illegal shine, they are doing exactly what you said they should be doing....idiot.

  • @k2stypoint I'm the idiot? You sound like a complete waste of a human life,AKA a LIBERAL. Drugs such as cocaine, crack cocaine, heroine, ecstasy, etc contributes to murder and rape. Moonshine is Alcohol, and the last I checked our socialist government has no problem allowing us to purchase it as long as they get their greedy hands on some tax money. Does the government allow us to buy illegal narcotics such as the drugs I mentioned? NO. Because they can't make money off of it,and it fucks your brain

  • @z28931 alcohol related rape and murder rates are some of the highest in the category of any substances....and alcohol also fucks ur brain up..google wet brain if you dont believe me...i dont know where you get your info from, but you are terribly wrong my friend.

  • @k2stypoint Take it up with our government then. They allow it,and they happily make money off of it. Go ahead and admit your a socialist.... you want to take all of our rights away from us. You are a fucking idiot, that has still failed to grasp the point I was trying to make. You must be from either California,or New York

  • @z28931 Not a socialist...i dont align with politics...im actually just a tattooed drug addict criminal with a rap sheet thats telling it like it is.

  • @dvon24 and WE elect them...so who is really to blame....everyone needs to quit bitchin.

  • fukin asshole cops meke a man like this out to be a criminal fukin asshole dickhead muther fuckers they need to be lined up and shot in the head fukin assholes

  • This is art right here. A fine sculpture he envisioned and brought to fruition. Thanks for sharing.

  • Hey WSK. Thanks for posting this video. Sure is interesting watching how the ole timers did this. A friend suggested I watch "The Last One", a movie about Popcorn. Have you seen it? I have not, but I think it uses some of the footage from this film. Anyway, thanks again.

  • @daryljo1 I have seen it. It's a fine documentary that does use quite a bit of this footage. I prefer this one though. More footage, more stories, more Popcorn Sutton and J.B. Rader. This is my favorite film.

  • @WildlifeSeriaLKiller I just saw The Last One this week and I agree with you, it was good but this is much better. Thanks for posting it
