  • Lots of great information here. Thanks for the encouragement. I am cold a lot. When I was 100% raw, I realize now, I wasn't cold. Then at Christmas I ate some cooked vegan and it started me going back to cooked soup, etc. Now I eat more fat and more cooked and am cold. You made such good points. Thank you so much. I hope I can get back!

  • Nuts and seeds irritate my stomach and intestines, than my kidneys get soar.

  • I had low temp even before I went raw. But now having energy makes these little adjustments worthwhile.

  • I watch a lot of these vegan/raw food videos and yours has strongly affected me--I like the way you keep repeating "no cheating;" thanks.

  • I needed this video. Thanks!

I just started a raw diet and am on day 5. I am cold and I thought I was in trouble.

  • I got like this when I tried this diet. Not even a duvet in the car would stop my teeth from chattering. The fruit opens up the pores and is designed to cool us. That is why nature offers no fruit in the winter, else if we ate like that and lives outside we would die of hyperthermia. Animals are much fatter in the winter. It is the time when nature suggests we eat the most fattiest meat. When we do not handle fat it is likley to be due to gall baldder/liver problems that should be treated.

  • did I mention I am always cold, I am also on a near raw food diet :) I eat SO many greens and veggies.

Checkout my 'harvesting winter greens' video. I dig out sub zero frozen produce from my allotment plot with my bare hands. I really used to get VERY cold. I attribute the following to helping me massively:

    Zero overt fat intake.

Hardly ever eat any cooked food

    Exercising and sweating loads.

A daily GIANT leafy green salad.

Eating plenty of calories mainly from fruit and not much else.

    B12 and D3 (5000iu) supplements.

    Time.

Hope that helps. Kind regards, Stuart

  • when you combine a low fat raw diet with exercise. . .it's like crack cocaine. . .true story

  • @lunaldo9

You are SO right! I have this ecstatic elation very regularly, pretty much every day at the moment! The harder I push myself then the more amazing it is! On my cycling video 1, once I reached the Hartside I was TOTALLY tripped out. The world could have ended and I would have still been happy!

Forget drugs. Do a really clean low fat raw diet. Build up long intense exercise and you can experience extreme joy that you never thought possible with no side effects! I may do a video on it!

Sorry to hear about the Raynaud's condition. I didn't know what it was, so I looked it up. I can see why this diet helps you so much. I don't think cooked carbs are that bad, but my hunger response is never satisfied on them, and they tend to make me overeat. Yes I agree cooked carbs without salt tastes very bland. Last time I had cooked carbs with salt I could hardly get out of bed and my eyes puffed up like I'd been in a fight! I'm thriving without any of that stuff now.

  • I am loving it! :)

  • It's been raining heavily every single day bar 2 for the last 3 weeks! November is notorious for it. Unusually, Saturday was beautiful - blue skies and sunny, I went out on my bike. Wish I'd taken a camera as the views were gorgeous, Next time the sun is out and I'm not working I'm going out with bike and camera! I heard that England was cold - but -11.5, that is breath-taking! It's certainly a good test for your diet and for your gardening skills.

  • @pathlesstrodden

I heard one weather forecast that said some areas in the UK will reach minus 20 degress centigrade!!!! That will be a good test of this diet, as long as I can actually go and buy the food. ..... Help!!!!

  • Good video Stuart. Beautiful scenery.

  • @pathlesstrodden

What's the weather like in Italy at the moment. I'd love to see another video.

Here on Sunday 29th November 2010, in Durham, UK. It was minus 11.5 deg Centigrade on the morning of this video, the snow has been still falling and it's getting even colder now! Last year was the coldest winter in 31years, it looks like another cold one here in the UK! This is igloo making weather!!!
